I loved Monkey and The Water Margin, but it should have stayed in my head, because when I watched it last year it just wasnt the same. Shame :-(

I liked these and got given a torrent download of them by a colleague a couple of years ago.
They aren't worth £35 of anybody's money.
Some are duffers, especially the second series.
They are also rather repetitive.
£9.99 would be a fair price.

"Mary, Mungo & Midge" was a disappointment for me the second time around :(

"Chorlton & the Wheelies", however, that is just as good! :)

These will have dated really badly, can remember watching them around 1982 with my dad. Can't imagine what they look like now.

Also from the comments below:

Contrary to the product description this is the original reissue of the series on thirteen separate boxed DVDs and does NOT contain the thirteen newly dubbed "lost" episodes. Instead the episodes are out of running order and are English-subtitled Japanese.

How did Monkey end? I can't remember....

It didn't really. At the end of season 1 it appeared they had finished their journey only to find out they were mid-way. The end of season 2 kind of ended as if they expected another season so no closure really.
