Original is best...they ruined it with those little credit card things. Great way to teach kids the value of money, eh...

Do they still make them with the horrible plastic pieces instead of the classic metal ones?
#13

Houses & hotels are still plastic. Tokens are light metal alloy.

Monopoly is a dreadful game. Its ranked number 7028 in the database on Boardgame Geek, the worlds biggest boardgame site. If the game was any good you would expect it to at least make the top 7000 highest rated games of all time!! ;-) If people who obsess over boardgames and collect hundreds of them think its a stinker then its pretty easy to assume it must be a stinker.

People should throw caution to the wind and stop buying the same terrible boardgame over and over and actually buy something worthwhile.

noticed this half price in Wilkinsons yesterday, along with Twister.

Actually my two cost 800 and 400 (plus another 100 on covers)

BUT you do only buy the app once and share it between them .. So it isn't only cheaper...it's cheaper AND half price!

Somewhat ironic name if Waddington's are still the only making the game in UK.

Even more ironic that it was a stolen idea based on a game invented to illustrate the evils of monopolistic private land ownership.

Nah, not a patch on Tescopoly.

Heck, they should have their own show on a mainstream British taxpayer funded channel - nowt like encouraging employment.*

* inclusive of '2 minutes fame' for each loser plus circumvention of advertisement regulations equalling wider recognition.
