do people actually have the time to play traditional board games? the only time this might come out of the box is after christmas lunch. I've also noticed that the youth of today do not have a long attention span unless it is related to any sort of video games console.
But good price for what it is.

what a hot deal!
#9
heat added, but I always get board playing analogue games like 'Monopoly'

hmm I agree...I have monopoly on the Wii...but it really is awful!!!! soooo boring....the boardgame version wins everytime for me.....also boardgames are sooo easy to change into drinking games (without the risk of spilling drinks on consoles)

Smashing price, I will pick one up from my local one tommorrow - usually play with the family - I mean the whole squad on x-mas.

Dont have the original one - so for sure will pick this up. Got some next version which I got free. For £2.47, its worth a pop.

Great price - anyone know if you can get it online for that price anywhere?

I couldnt agree with you more!!! I have a ten year old son who is totally addicted to the Xbox360. In the past month I have went out and bought Monopoly, Cluedo and Scrabble. The first thing my son asked when I brought out monopoly was "Where is the plug????":x

I loved board games as a child and it always brought families together so this is my aim:)

I am so gutted at this missed bargain after paying £13 for it

Fantastic find OP and thanks for posting
#24
excellent deal - hope i can get one
#25
Monopoly are doing games based on cities / counties now. I think these will be more interesting than the vanilla variety.
#26
bargain

Nice find, already have one but good for spares :-D
will have a look at my local stores 2moz
Hot!!!

Voted cold, I'm not paying £2.47 for something which is the number 1 cause of family arguments.

Hahaha... just kidding. Heat added, brilliant price for a classic game. Though the arguments will never cease, and there'll always be some sly git trying to rob from the bank when other people aren't looking... hahaha!

www.pogo.com

or

www.pogo.co.uk

has monopoly for FREE play against humans.

pay subscription if you wanna play with 'other' characters (instead of car boat shoe etc etc)

as good as the board game and passes the time on-line

(almost as much as hukd!!!!!!!)

none at Sainsbury's East Mayne, Basildon. There was a space for them on the shelves so worth checking.
