This seems to be similar to the new version called Monopoly Chip and Pin, which allows you to pay with your credit card, rather than paying in cash.

You can order it for £9.95 as part of there promotion, which is reduced by £15 and use the voucher BRINC for 5% discount, which should reduce the price by 50p, but seems to price it at £9.26 instead.

Remember to go through Quidco, to claim 10% cashbach as well and hope this helps.

Promotional Code: BRINC

According to Palspal, you can avoid the delivery charge by collecting at your local store, with more info at this link:

If you do pay for the delivery charge, bare in mind you can order as many products as you want for 1 delivery charge and Quidco will also pay you 10% cashback for the total cost of the order, which includes delivery as well.

Hope that helps.

Regardless, the subject header should still include postage, I think.

Anyway....

Good point realfriendlyman. :)
Ordering more than one item could make the postage charges less of a nuisance and I've read posts stating that The Entertainer doesn't always have online goods in stock. Using edi's linked post on my thread could also give another 5% discount (although Emma said that it is actually 7%). 7% discount code: brinc. (sorry just noticed this was already in the 1st post),

Cheers:thumbsup:

Sorry to burst the bubble for everyone but this is NOT the version with the Credit Cards instead of money.

I think you're right, as there's 2 different "here and now limited editions" and the one that uses the chip and pin is called the electronic version but apparantly this one also uses an innovative technique with the money.

Also checkout the reviews on Amazon about this edition, as it's received rave reviews and because the electronic one was released later on, this one is most likely even rarer now:

:-( Just called them. This is NOT the electronic version.

Ive got no ambition to collect rare board games and this was for my young kids so I've cancelled my order and they are refunding my cash as already debited.

Just been to the store 'Cheshire Oaks' they had it in stock for 14.95 and they wouldn't price match there own website. Quoteing: that by the time I ordered it with with postage then it would be the same price.
I asked how much postage was and she didn't know! When I explained that I didnt want to buy postage as they had it in stock, she wasn't interested. T.A.F (thick as.......i'll let u work the rest out)

A 2bit company thats not very 'Entertaing'.

As a final edit, I cant see a store pickup option on the delivery screen.

To be fair this applys to lots of places, Game, ToysRus, Gamestaion and pretty much every other site.

That's interesting as I have always found exactly the same prices instore as on the web. Google shows the price has only recently gone down from £14.95 to £9.95 so maybe it takes a few days to change the instore price system.

It's not exactly false advertising, as people have already mentioned and it's not like i'm making a profit out of this, i'm just alerting everyone of a deal and you can actually see the delivery charge on the righthand side as soon as you click the link or go on the site.

Hope you enjoy the deal anyway, despite the delivery charge, which can be diluted by ordering several other items as well, it's still half the price of most, if not all websites.

Good price.

Rep added

Thanks mate, i've left rep for everyone that responded to the topic and left there name after leaving me rep, as a way of saying thank you for showing appreciation for the deal, as a thanks goes a long way to people that help scour the net for good deals and write it up for everyone to benefit from, so a thank you makes it all worthwhile
