Oh no this deal is voted cold because people like you complain because they are expensive, however this a great saving on great headphones, so should be voted hot as this is a good deal for this product!

No one said they are cheap but they are at a good price compare to what they usually retail at, therefore a good deal which should equal hot! :(

i can't see the sound quality being that noticably different through these over say £15 sony walkman headphones or even £30 skull candys. they may be high quality but can't imagine there would be a greater sound difference that could justify the price difference

They're superior to anything in that price range. And this seems a good price. I wouldn't buy them, though. £3.00 more gets you the Sennheiser IE8.

I'm too old to appreciate them my earing has been shot to pieces by too many front row seats at Rush concerts :)

.

you're basing your opinion on not being able to see these being much better than cheaper items. Why have an opinion based on absolutely no knowledge whatsover? I also have no knowledge on this item, but for someone where spending this much on them is an option, then to getting them at that price represents a healthy saving. Its sad just how many people on this site feel they have the right to question someone elses buying choices. Why have an opinion? Decent saving? Yes. Only conclusion = hot deal.

JJ8 - don't worry about the cold voters, I got exactly the same last year for posting a good reduction on an expensive pair of headphones. I don't even know why people would vote on something they have no interest in but obviously people have more time on their hands than those of us enjoying good music and hearing it properly. Cold voters on audio equipment = X Factor viewers maybe?

quality headphones are essential to anyone who loves music. cheap and cheerful headphones are bought by saps who think the x factor is music! these are a good deal.

I was sceptic as well before I tried out high quality headphones, and in my opinion you can't get much higher quality than bose or monster. I prefer the over-ear headphones but the turbines give just as good quality, a million steps up from the cheap poundland headphones people on this site vote hot on.

On the face of it this is a good deal but I would warn against buying them if you have an I-Phone because there is a newer version of these with an in-line control for calls, remote operation etc which this version does not have....

Multilingual? It's too much in every language.

In my opinion you can't get much higher quality than bose or monster.

KMKM, you seem like you are a music fan & trying to be helpful but you have fallen for all the marketing jurgen & ad slinging going. Bose & Monster are usually (with the exception to the Monster Turbine range as per OP) very poorly rated in the niche following that headphones/earphones/IEMs have. If you really want to listen to a proper pair of headphones then look at something from someone like Sennheiser, Ultrasone, Beyerdynamic, Denon or Audio-Technica for full sized (over the ear) headphones. You'll never look at another pair of Bose again.

On another note. I had the same a few months back. I posted a deal on some Senn IE8s ([email protected]) & it went freezing within a couple of hours. It was right next to a Seamaster watch that was creeping up in heat as it was reduced to £1700 or something equally ridiculous price. I couldn't quite grasp the reasoning behind the voting. ALL watches tell the time EXACTLY the same. No change whatsoever. Where as the headphones produce better sound as you creep up the scale in quality. Still don't understand it.

Voted hot BTW lol.

I posted the odds and pods deal prior to this but it was rejected as odds and pods were seen as dodgy and unreputable with questionable authenticity :)

Dunno about these Monster phones, but I have some decent Sennheisers and only use FLAC or high bitrate mp3 if I have to. You only get out what you put in - if the source is not up to scratch, then the phones will not be able to improve much on a 128kbps mp3.
Also depends on the player - use an ipod and then use a Cowon or amped Sony and hear the difference on a flac.

You can, but posting earphones for £180, no matter how much they should be, isn't the right way to do it

I have tried out sennheiser and denon as far as good sound quality go I wasn't really a big fan. I seemed to notice the difference more when I tried other headphones out, so I guess it comes down to someones personal preference then? :P .. since a lot of people seem content listening to cheaper headphones anyway while I wouldn't go back :D

Dumbest comment I ever read with nothing to back it up. These headphones are the most amazing thing i ever heard.
If you havfe not tried them you have no opinion.
