Normally £160.

Yes there are better but try and find a set at this price. The power filters are great and you can plumb in the sky and normal aerial too.

The screen clean is like a gel so it does not run into the workings

This pack from Monster contains everything you'll need to look after you new HDTV.
■The Monster HDMI cable will deliver high definition video and multi-channel audio from your Blu-ray player, games console or other HD media devices
■The Monster surge protector will protect your unit from harmful surges and spikes through your mains power supply, protecting the longevity of your TV's life
■The screen cleaner kit includes a spray and cloth to remove dust, dirt and fingerprints for a clearer, brighter picture.

suppose its handy if you have monsters that keep surging about
#3
To be fair it is a very decent 8 way surge protector.

Does anyone know anyone who has ever lost anything due to surge?

So because you haven't lost anything or know of anyone, then it does not happen.

I do know a few people, as recently as the last storm we had, lightning strikes can do cause a lot of damage.

Yep, I lost a router, switch and KVM in a storm a few years ago. All my tech kit is surge protected now.

I just figured the fuse in the plug would take care of most things. I don't know much about it though, if anything at all.
#8
Yikes my aten kvm would not be cheap to replace

Sounds like the interconnects market will be going to the wall soon then. Monster make some good product, albeit a little expense.

£1 HDMI will be fine, it's digital eh! No interference from the 1.21 gigawatt behind the TV.

Nae need for surge protection.

Oh and leave the screen manky.

Hot deals has changed in the last 5 years. Wondering if anyone is trending brand snobbery...

The surge protector is decent but you can get the rest for £3

Belkin make good insurance backed surge protectors.
You will remember that before Comet went out of business they were selling Monster HDMI cables for £90!!! Those were the days!
What's sadder still is that for all the dweebs who buy headphones from Beats rather than Sennheiser, beats are made by Monster, an overpriced cable company !
