Duncan Jones' Moon is an award-winning low budget sci-fi thriller about Sam Bell, a solitary employee at a lunar station. Alone with only a computer and a robot assistant named GERTY and with no communication with Earth, Sam is desperate to get home, especially as he only has three weeks left in his three year contract.
In isolation and with only himself and his plants to talk to, Sam knows that he is beginning to hallucinate. But when he has an accident and is knocked-out two weeks before his departure, he wakes back at the station infirmary and assumes that GERTY has helped him. However, when he returns to the accident spot he sees something that makes him question his own sanity. Could it be that he's not alone on the planet? Sam soon discovers that the barren world he's called home for three years is not quite what he thought it was!
