Dixons have had a restock and now have a range of sub £200 and £220 laptops in stock.

I just bought this for my mum.

Compaq C555 Refurbished Laptop, Product code: 526562

Intel Celeron M Processor 440 processor 1.86GHz, 533MHz FSB, 1MB Cache Genuine Windows Vista (R) Home Premium 1GB Memory 80GB Hard Drive DVD ReWriter MultiDrive 15.4" Widescreen Display Intel 943GML Express C Graphics Card Wireless Enabled 3 USB Connections

£199.99!

They will probably sell fast so grab them while you can.

PS. I'm no fan of Dixons myself but budget dictates.

The laptop looks nice, looks a bit like a MacBook Pro.

Fair play. Your entitled to your oppinion and thanks for the feedback.

I'm hate the DSG group too BUT I purchased a refurb laptop from them before, saving a few hundred, and I haven't had a problem with it.

I thought it was a hot deal as my mum needs a new basic laptop and only had £220 to spend.
These were not in stock last night when I was looking.

bought a 9415 laptop for £203 with the Dual Core 1.6Ghz and 2GB Ram. This went to my brother whos need was greater.

Last night bought a Core 2 Duo 1.7Hhz 7206 laptop for myself £204 .

Not sure about this choice as the 9415 was 'brand new' at least in appearance.
Hope the 7206 is not too shabby.

Do they only really do these refurbs in the summer? i think there were a few of these last year. Not sure if my P3 laptop can last another year...or maybe it can?

personally I think the best time is February, after all the Xmas returns.

still guesswork though. But they did seem to stay in stock for a full 24 hours+ then.

Plenty in stock again. The 9415 is back. 5% off at Currys too.

My refurb was delivered like new - no problems whatsoever - yes brand new Dell only around £60 extra but at the time I bought this I didnt have an extra £60 to spend so for £199 it was perfect.
