The B&Q link says "Not suitable for a gravity fed system". My last three homes all had the hot water fed under gravity from a second floor immersion tank with loft header.

Does that qualify as 'low pressure' or 'gravity' ?

I fitted it into a town house with a first floor kitchen. Cold water was mains pressure obviously and hot water was fed from a cylinder on the ground floor with cold header tank in the loft (3rd floor). Header gain to kitchen would be similar to a typical two storey property.

The flow of the hot water wasn't as powerful as the flow of the cold water - but nevertheless it works.

Fleabay? The last cheap tap I bought from fleabay failed within 8 months. Learnt my lesson - cheap and quality don't go hand in hand....

I didn't order online - I called the call centre and asked them to do a stock check at my local store. Reserved / paid over the phone and went to pick up in the evening.

Often true but not when Aldi have taps for around £13 - they're excellent (much better than my £100+ Bathstore ones).

Ok, so many questions here. Which one? Which type? How much? Who from? You may have chosen badly? You may have just been unlucky. Lot's of good sellers offer a multi year warranty.

I bought a few taps off there with no problems what so ever. The same sort of taps would have cost me over £300 in some DIY stores.
