I have one of these. It's superb.

this is good it has auto shutoff. my current slow cooker doesn't, so I have to be there to turn it off or it will just carry on cooking. if I'm gonna be out for the day, I have to time it quite carefully lol

thats actually a really good idea! I'd not thought of that!!!! lol!

I have used this model many times, its excellent. Ideal for 2 to 3 people but will struggle with 4 portions.

The removable bowl can also be used on the hob.

The only negative is that the outer metal is very thin and unless you use the handles to grab it, it can easily dent.

Also only costs about 8p to cook over several hours as apposed to 20p an hour in an oven, it all adds up

Slow cookers are great.

Crappy winter day, get up early, chop up a few veg, throw in cheap cut of meat, set to low, go out to work and you have a nice dinner to come home to.

Setting an alarm on your mobile won't turn the cooker off if you're not home.

I tried the same and it was lovely. I used a pork joint and left it in for about 4 hours and it just fell apart when I took it out.
