Looks an excellent iron for the money. According to our research, most of us find around the buttons, sleeves and shoulders the most difficult parts to iron. The Morphy Richards Comfigrip Tip Technology iron features a turbo tip at the top of the soleplate. This releases a powerful, concentrated burst of steam so you can reach those stubborn creases in the trickiest of places such as shirt collars, sleeves, pleated dresses and skirts of children’s clothes.

The non-drip system ensures that if the iron is not up to temperature on operation, water will not leak onto the fabric. A large tank (420 ml) lets you iron for longer without having to refill. The ComfiGrip cushioned handle also makes it easier to iron.

I got this for the wife from Morrisons, reduced to £22.50. Its looks pretty cool and apparently works well.
I'm jealous.

Thanks, ordered one. Been looking for a good iron that wasn't too expensive.

I think the reason this iron is so cheap at the moment is that it may be a discontinued model if Morphy Richards' official site is to be believed (no sign of the 40739 model there) - the 40750 looks the closest at an RRP of 54.99.

BTW, I did register the iron online at the official site to get a 2-year warranty instead of the default 1-year warranty if you don't register it, but MR were cheeky with a load of the questions (how many people live in the house, what's your combined income etc. etc.)!
