If, like me, you ate too much over Christmas and got fat, you might have made a resolution to eat better in January. What better way then with a soup maker. This is one of the best on the market and this is the cheapest I can find it (55 pounds elsewhere).

Made from durable stainless steel, this multi-purpose 1.6 litre soup maker from Morphy Richards includes a digital display and adjustable settings, complete with a non-stick coating for easy cleaning after use.

Here we go again, just use a blender and a saucepan. Kitchen clutter.

Oh, so cutting it hurts. I'd better learn to keep my opinions to myself !

I find using a saucepan then a blender gives me more washing up and a lot more effort. The soup maker I have lets me fry off the onions, bacon first, add all the veg and stock and lets me do something else for 20 mins without worrying about it. Yummy hot soup with no effort, all blended in 20mins

Wow this is as cold as a gazpacho in Winter. Are people voting cold because this isn't a good deal or because they don't like the concept of a soup maker? This one will saute your onions and garlic then cook the veg and blend it.

I love my soup maker - I throw in my diced vegetables and water, switch it on and leave it for just over 20 minutes to do its stuff. Frees up my time to do other things and, as Holdol says, less things to wash up.

There is a lot they could do to improve the design to make it easier to clean though, but that's another story ;)

Have you got a link or a price? I can't see it on either website.

Presumably you don't own a kettle or toaster then? A saucepan or a grill will do the same job as them after all.
