Was going to buy this but on zooming in on the box you can see it uses D batteries and they are not the cheapest

A great price for this but I had 2 from Argos but returned them. The problem is that while your scraping your food in the bin the lid will automatically close.

A great price for this but I had 2 from Argos but returned them. The problem is that while your scraping your food in the bin the lid will automatically close.

Ordered. We have to put our food waste in a separate recyling bin for collection where I live so not an issue for me.

It does state 4 AA batteries in the description so hopefully it is the case. Thanks OP.
