Very true, but this offer includes screwcaps and miniature caps, and very small size bulbs for table lamps etc, and some other offers don't, so specially valuable for me.
Also, don't just look in the offer display basket, because any bulbs on the ordinary shelves priced at 48p for two are included in the offer. Bought some this morning

Does that include SBC and SES? The others I can get free.:?

Certainly includes SES, I bought some. Don't know about SBC, because I wasn't particularly looking for that size. In my post above I said miniature caps; I should have said small.

i need the ses ones so this is a great deal. Tesco didn't have any of the ses ones. and all ours are ses. Grrr. Great deal though:thumbsup:

Yes, same for me. I use more screw bulbs than bajonet and they never have them on offer (my last purchase was from Argos 50p each). So, this offer is very hot.

This is a great deal if they really have SES bulbs included in this offer.

WHOOP WHOOP HOT!!! Well done

Because these bulbs use so little energy you can leave em on in the hallway and other rooms and not worry about the elecy they are using.

Well I've just been in my local Morrisons, and none of the staff have heard of this deal and neither do they have any twin packs of ES bulbs.
Single SES are £1.95 each or 2 for £3.00
This aint a deal for me so voted cold.

To be fair to the OP, I have to say similar happened to me. Walked in Morrisons, and nearly fell over a giant display poster advertising this offer. Went to the lighting section, got my bulbs (including ES), got to the checkout to be told there was no such offer. The electrical section manager was summoned; I took him down to see the ad display (which he hadn't seen!); he discovered the offer hadn't been put on the system, which he then did, and I got my 6 bulbs for 48p. Seems the displays are put up by alien life forms during the night.

Got 6 boxes of the 20w (equivalent to 100w brightness) ones today. Can't really go wrong with these bulbs,

12 bulbs for less than a quid

First one of these types of bulb I bought five or six years back was about a tenner!! Still going strong today.

well thats the fault of the admin staff and home and leisure staff. they were told in there bulliten 2 weeks ago this offer wascoming! also the admin staff are the ones on sunday who put out the new offer signs. every store should have recieved a display stand though. we did but it had already been ruined getting it onto the pallet beforegetting to us!

the 2 for £3 is only on statusbulbs

so if my light fitting takes 40w normal bulbs can i go with 20w energy saving ones (equivalent to 100w) or do i have to stick to 11w energy saving one which is equivalent to 40w?
#15
also does anyone know if these bulbs are dimmable as most energy saving ones aren't?:)

Your light fitting will take 40w and 100w bulbs the difference is that the 100w ones will be brighter but use more electric, I use the 11w bulbs because they are bright enough for me and use less electric.

I'm pretty sure that refers to the wattage of the actual bulb, it would therefore take any bulb up to 40w (including energy saving bulbs with their rating (i.e. not the "equivalent to" ratings).

No they aren't

A good bargain but have just ordered a load of 100w standard light bulbs at 27p each delivered online as I have dimmer switches.

I have dimmer switches in my kids rooms, and I have just found out this week that the energy efficient bulbs dont work in them! Aaaargh!
Where did you get your deal on the standards light bulbs?

Does anyone know how these compare to other bulbs I have a couple of energy saving bulbs in the house but they always seem quite dark......?
#26
I've been looking for bayonet-fit 20W energy saving bulbs in Morrisons for weeks - thanks for this! I got six today and they are great - bright (100W equivalent:1200 Lumens) and quite similar to tungsten for warm colour temperature. I finally registered on this site just to say thanks!
#27
sorry to say but get them while you can!

i was off work yesteray so did my order for these bulbs on tuesday. got in today to find out that 1 of the 6 types are N/A and ALL of them have been restricted to 1 case of each per order! :x

that means there'll only be 13-16 offers avaliable 3 times a week :w00t:
