Sounds a good credit crunch deal to me :)

Lasagne for two (This is finest!) How I make it.

Measurements are general, don't worry if it's not exact!

200g Minced Steak
1/2 cooking onion
1 garlic clove
30g Parmesan Cheese
20g Cheddar Cheese
250ml Milk
Desert Spoon Flour
Desert Spoon Butter
Tomato Puree
Tin Tomatoes chopped italian
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Basil
Pasta Sheets that don't need soaking, or Fresh Pasta sheets!

Meat Sauce

Place frying pan onto hob, on medium high heat
Pour in 2 desert spoons of olive oil, don't measure it, just pour it in so it looks like the right amount
Meanwhile, Chop up onion finely, you can pop it in the blender for a quick spin, it's easier!
Place onion into pan give it a quick stir and fry for one minute, leave to cook.
Put some water into pan about 2 desert spoons.
Meanwhile chop up garlic, place in pan and cook until onions change colour about 5 mins, always moving the onions and garlic around pan.
Get your meat and place into pan, keep breaking it up with a wooden spoon, while stirring it and cooking it. You want a medium heat, DO NOT overcook the meat, what you are aiming to do is change the colour of the meat slowly!
When half the meat has changed colour, squirt in some tomato puree, about 2 desert spoons.
Keep stirring, we don't want hard meat.
When all the meat has changed colour, not necessarily cooked add tinned tomatoes.
Put in 1 teaspoon of Basil
Bring up to heat, bubbling rapidly, always stirring! Then take of heat straight away and put to one side away from heat.

White Sauce

Now your going to cook like a Michelin Star Chef!

Place butter in a saucepan and melt, add flour and mix, it will turn into a lump of dough, you must cook this dough for 3 minutes in the saucepan on a medium low heat. It is important as chemical changes occur and the floury taste will cook out. Pour in some milk a little at a time always stirring. When all the milk is added, it will be like a white sauce, add all cheeses. Keep mixing until melted. Remove from heat.

Nearly Finished!

Find an oven tray that will accomodate 3 pasta sheets overlapped a little bit, so quite small.
Pour a very shallow layer of Meat sauce on the bottom, followed by 3 sheets of lasagna, half meat sauce, 1/3 of cheese sauce (it is a thin layer so you have to spread it carefully!) Another layer of pasta, half meat sauce, 1/3 cheese sauce, layer pasta, 1/3 cheese sauce, lashings of grated cheese on the very top! Cook for 20 minutes on 180c, keep checking every few mins till its brown on top and hot in the middle.

Remove from oven and DO NOT Serve, let it rest for 4 minutes, cut with a very sharp knife into suitable portion sizes. Then serve with a side dish of whatever you want
