Just been to Morrisons to get weekly shop. Searched high and low for liver and bacon chilled ready meal. Hubby likes one now and again. (Can't stand liver myself yuk !)Only time time he gets liver haha ! Can't bear to touch it ! Anyway, i went to the chiller where they normally are and it was all italian ready meals. So i asked what looked like a manager where they were and had they moved them as there were no meals out except italian. He said " Oh, they've all been taken off the shelves, all the traditional meals are on offer from tomorrow so we have taken them all off the shelves till then." So i said what do i do if i want one today then ? Out of luck ? His reply was "Looks like it " and walked off !!!! Customer service !! Big fat 0 ! Also make sure you check your receipt because nearly every week an "offer" goes through at full price and you have to go to customer services while they check it out and give a refund And even then its not put right for a few days!

Better deal at Sainsburys for bacon at the mo....Danish Bacon, Smoked/Unsmoked half price £2 for 400g

Cook it yerself!

Add to pan a pack of sliced NZ lamb's liver, sliced red onion, slices of bacon, a crushed clove of garlic, chopped tomatoes, couple of glugs of red wine, a cup of chicken stock and a bay leaf. Bring to the boil gently and simmer for about 30-45 minutes until the liver is tender and the sauce begins to looks "cloudy". Serve with creamy mashed potato.

dont like liver myself but sounds quite nice lol may have to try!!

also hot on the deal, i always find its easier to go out for a fry up if its just for 2 cuz it cost just as much as buying everything individually and no dishes, everyones a winner yay!!hot

The only reason I buy one now and again is for hubby as i stated. I wouldn't cook it myself because I cant bear to touch it, or the smell. I cook every other meal myself, quite well .Just cooking offal is a no no for me i'm afraid. He doesn't eat it that often anyway

The deal would not be a deal if you got charged full price, like i pointed out , so check your receipt as i said , My "tale of liver and bacon " as you put it, was a genuine gripe about the way Morrisons seems to be run.And the way that deals are dealt with, ie none on shelves the day before a promotion.
