more news than a deal, if they don't they won't get any customers. :)

#3

#4

I filled up last night before doing my Morry's shopping. I also like collecting the fuel points with Morrys. Though it does seem like about 6 months or more before i manage to get a £5 to spend in-store voucher....of course, that depends on how much fuel i purchase!

My local Tesco is 99.9p, for both fuels.

Hurry up sainsburys & price match :x

Voted hot although I hate the fact that all these Petrol deals really do is actually drop back to the price that they were several weeks ago.

Register your email address at www.petrolprices.com and each day about 1pm you will get an email with the best petrol prices in your area.

I've noticed that Asda near me always beats any other garage and has been 100.9p for diesel for ages while all the others we're 105.9p.

Petrol has now caught up with diesel so nothing between them now.
#13
I take it they're not dropping lpg prices, are they?
#14
still £1.03 for diesel this morning when I filled up at my local morrisons
#15
99.9 at my local Tescos, Asda and Morrisons now...

Just waiting on Sainsburys undecutting that hopefully...

i dont have a morrisons or asda filling station in my area i had to pay 103.9 at sainsburys this morning,
wife was reading in the papers this morning and she said that there is a government increase coming in soon so the lower price wont last long,
flaming government are a load of robbers.

Mr Darling also said that fuel duty would increase by 2p a litre in September and there would be further rises of 1p a litre for the next four Aprils.

I don't know why everyone gets so excited about the prices ... the fluctuations hardly make a big difference?

I guess I have a small tank (only about 8 gallons)... I always get fuel at the garage on my estate, at worst it's about £1.00 more to fill my tank there than if I drove to morrisons etc to save a few pence per litre
#19
Its a bloody disgrace and its time for strikes , it worked last time , but they have sneaked it back up from 89p to over a quid now . The more of us that go to ASDA or Mons then then the more likely the others will follow suit and hopefully try and beat each other.

Why do they bother with the .9? its fooling no one, its not like its ever .5
#21
Well considering the fact that oil has dropped in price nearly every day this last week we are still being ripped off with this small price decrease....

Cheap for Tescos! Usually Asda and Shell are the best down my way. Forget BP :x

I don't understand why petrol is so expensive? The price of oil has been dropping for a whiel now (as someone before said) and in other countries the price of fuel is much much much lower.

For instance in U.S.A. its about $2.60 per gallon last time i checked and in Canada its just under $1 per litre. Both are much cheaper than the U.K. Can anyone explain to me why this is (if there is a reason that i am missing?)

Petrol stations make there money from extras, the amount they actually make on fuel is minimal.

If we went with conservatives plan to keep it level - it would have been more expensive now....
#31
Sainsburys was 99.9 when I filled the car up an hour ago.

Showing my age here but I remember unleaded being 29p when I passed my driving test. This of course was before they decided to tax fuel.
#32
Still 102.9 at my local Morrisons :x

Plus, how is this a "deal"? if other stores have petrol for the same price, where is the "deal"?

If HMV had a DVD for the same price as Zavvi, Amazon and Play, it wouldn't be classed as a deal, so how is this exempt?

:?
#33
Morrisons in Stanmore still charging 102p for petrol.
#34
Still 102.9p for Unleaded in Morrisons Greenock
