About time it dropped! Shame there's no Tesco with petrol in Derby.

112.9p at Sainsbury's Leamington Spa also, which is annoying as I only spotted this after filling up at 114.9p at Shell.

damn it why is petrol so expensive

Because it is taxed to the hilt, the pound was devalued by labour, the Arabs inflate oil prices using cartels and the market think it is safer than currencies so buy it.

Overall we need global demand to fall but untill someone pulls out a green finger we have no chance.

My local BP is about 122.9 on Diesel. 8p more. Even the Sainsbury isn't much better in Guildford.

Make the most of it as it is. Another 1p on duty in October and then a big 3p hike in January when this shower that most of you voted in whack another 2.5p onto vat. Will give the government another 4p/litre in the next 6 months. Makes me sick!!
Can't believe nobody has cried out about the fuel going up when they up the vat. They should reduce the duty by 3p to compensate, just as labour upped the duty by 2p when they reduced vat to 15% last year only then to sneakily leave it on when the vat went up again.

ONLY the Haulage companies striking will stop it going over £1.50/L markets rally around round figures, the testing point was £1.00/L make the most of it! pay as you go driving is next!

IIRC 60% of the revenue collected from motorists goes to fund the NHS and Benefits

this is a futile discussion on an internet forum!

I am sure it's been this price for ages in Derby - the Esso on Markeaton Island certainly has...
