Trust me - you're wrong;-)

The Jam doughnuts are freshly made from scratch, the ring doughnuts are a frozen dough which are put in the prover then fried. These iced doughnuts come in a box and are defrosted - I know I used to be a Bakery Manager for them:thumbsup:

the only problem with them is that you end up eating the whole pack at once - then feel slightly guilty

It is indeed true. All the "cooked fresh in store" stock actually comes pre-cooked, frozen when delivered to store, staff then cook a batch in the morning, and continue to cook on demand through-out the day, I say cook, when they actually stick them in the oven on a timer and leave them till the buzzer goes off.

The same goes for the cafe, all stuff is frozen pre-cooked food.
#19
They only had 1 pack when I was in, so the BOGOF was useless.
I got some jam doughnuts instead.

I'm talking about the iced doughnuts which OP has posted, I suggest you ask at your store next time you are in, then post your findings. I am 100% certain these come into store frozen.

I'm talking about the same ones - thank you - I did read it!
They are nothing like what you describe, and that is MY findings 100%!
If you don't like them, don't buy them! :whistling:

I wish that were true, make my day as one of the bakers at Morrisons easier.

these are frozen and just defrosted, the chances are they sell exactly the same ones at Tesco, ASDA and Sainsburys much like the cookies, and larger ring doughnuts including Rolo and Smartie ones.

However Most of the larger Morrisons stores will make fresh doughnuts from scratch which are on a standard 2 for £1 offer all the time.

I wonder if - when you go into your store and ask - and find out that you are wrong, you'll be as vocal and post your apology?:whistling:

Who says you are right?
Nearly 400 degrees says you are wrong!
The one's in my local are not as you described - thats my point!
Apology - what for......... disagreeing with what you say - tough!

What you retorted with has nothing to do with it. You claimed that they are freshly made in your store and I pointed out that they are not - just defrosted. Thats the debate not whether they taste like cardboard or they are 400degrees.

got some yesterday. i love them...i try not to eat too many

imo they are just defrosted instore especially since the label on the front states 'selected for you by morrisons' and not 'made by'

Suggest you get your facts right. Point I was making was that the one's in my local DON'T taste like cardboard and icing isn't runny - FACT! Not that I have to explain myself to YOU anyway!
Yes the 400 degrees does make a difference - doubt if people are bothered by your stupid comments!
