Another great canned tuna deal from Morrisons. These are 198g (140g drained) tuna steaks in either oil or brine for only 54p each. So although these aren't as cheap as the previous £1.80 for 4 deal, these are steaks, not chunks and are single cans so you can buy as few or as many as you like.

The difference between steaks and chunks is that your can contains one piece of tuna rather than loads of bits like with the chunks.

I'm afraid I forgot to get the expiry of this deal but I'll see if I can update later. Expiry date now added.

Stock up while you can. Apologies for the poor photo. Blame Nokia for that!

The main problem with tuna is Japanese people eating sushi and paying ridiculous premiums for rare tuna, instead of using sustainable tuna. Pretty much every supermarket in the UK now only sells sustainable, dolphin friendly tuna so you can eat this without worrying :-)

it's the overall stock levels I'm worried about that prevent me, having fished since a kid in our native seas, the amount of damage from the likes of factory ships to fish stocks & sea bed have been incredible,
it's only friendly if it's sustainable in a growing market, & as far as i'm aware it is not.

I'll have a look at some global reports & see what change there is, as boy I do have a hankering for some tuna!
