Morrisons to reduce their petrol & diesel prices by up to 3p per litre from 12 June 2012

PremierPremier

Morrisons plan to reduce their fuel prices at their forecourt garages by up to 3p per litre starting tomorrow, 12 June 2012.

Morrisons say they are doing this following announcements by other supermarkets and that they are determined to continue to offer competitive fuel prices at a time when many customers are feeling the economic pinch.

Up to 3p off a litre, can also mean 0p a litre.

I think ASDA are centrally priced, in that they're all the same price. Whereas the others are a little more open to what the market will take.

When you are spending £500 / month or more on fuel, as I do, 3p a litre drop IS a big deal.

What sheeple don't see is that it drops by say 10p ,when 25% lower , then raises by 30p when back up to the same price per barrel , resulting in a fuel escalator, 10p down, 30p up.... and this is done over and over and no one says a thing.

we think we are getting a good deal, but in reality, just laying ground for the next 30p rise.

very sad times we live in.... the doom decade.

Yes up to, but where I live we have Morrisons, ASDA, Tesco & Sainsburys along with other independent forecourts and we usually have one of the lowest fuel in England, I don't think they even put the price of petrol down, just 1p off diesel, which is my fuel of choice anyway but not the point.

A 3p reduction is welcome, however im not voting either way
80% of the price of fuel is actually taxed.

Yes, but only for a few days, then some will slip lower. Mine was 132.7 for two weeks while others were at 130.7 or even 129.7.

1p cheaper than MURCO 138.9 as compared with 139.9
