you'll also need tesco's value 2p toothpaste for a topping.

Sainsburys basics is 9p.

Then again they should be this price, its just flour and milk powder isnt it?
#3
£2 must surely be wrong....
#4
Probably a mis-price of £2.00 on that specific store....

7p from Tesco last time we bought some this is normal price for a cheap batter mix, no need for it to really cost more than this considering what goes into it

Depends on how you make it, i work in a chip shop which is said to be the best in plymouth and the way I make the batter is just Water+ Flour, so yeh pretty basic and even cheaper than what you think!.

How many grams is this? Cause to make loads (dont know specific weight but its a large metal bucket like on the farms for milk) it uses 3KG of flour + 2 Jug full of water (probs about 4 pints, will check next time i make it if someone really wants to know!). So yes again, very cheap when self raising flour is like 50pence :D.

Still hot for premade though :).

Is that "Francines" per chance? Isn't it more a case of the oil used as opposed to the batter mix? What oil does your chippy use?

And last but not least a free bag of Fish n' Chips for the wife and I aye1 Be over weekend ;-)
