Down from 14p, this stuff works really well as a base for adding more of your own ingredients or as a quick meal for students - can't complain for 5p.

why does almost (yes i did say almost) everyone refer to students when posting things like this, value pasta etc...am i living in cloud cuckoo land when i can honestly say ive never came across a poor student yet,in fact, most students i meet are wearing branded clothes and designer labels, get reduced sessions here there and anywhere because they are students, and two i know of are waiting to see what kind of bursary they get before deciding wether or not to buy themselves a car...am i not living in the real world lol

anyways, good find, good price and despite all the value deals thats been posted here as of late,i kinda like them..in a strange kinda way lol

as for the statement about "not this **** again" yep, wether or not its to your liking, its still a good price..and thats what HUKD is all about

Yep, Im affraid you live in dream world. Of course the majority of students are poor. They rack up (at the moment a student at uni on london will have taken 3*£3250 + 3*£5000 in repayable loans, which they will later have interest added to. I dont know about your definations but anyone with £25k in debt often before their 22, is certainly in need of so morrisons 5p curry sauce.

Great find OP.

I only recently finished uni and Trisham's statement is 80% correct! Mummy and Daddy pay for most people then we got a £4000 loan to pretty much splash on anything! Fair enough your saddled with debt but most people would rather have a good life at uni and get ****!

Yes the one before was Asda, but they all taste the same and are only worth putting on chips! As i said on the asda deal why spend good money on chicken then ruin it with this?

Now who's saying students dont eat healthy, we have our value/basics curry sauce, on our value/basics rice, with a side of grass(lawn not any other varities) from the neighbours garden as a substitue for salad.

*For the record, (my neighbour uses HUKD) I do not really eat your grass as salad.*

Or PS3 vs Xbox360 and the last few days of downtime has proven that xbox live is better

I'm a student currently £400 in to my overdraft, I need all the 5p curry sauce I can get. Usually we stick to the 9p Sainsbury's basics sauce, but this is even better!

Edit: Oh, and I'm definitely a poor student, my mum and dad don't pay for anything for me, and a lot of my uni friends are in the same position!

WTF? Why would you need to add this to all that stuff. Throw in a couple of dried spices and you have a curry!

Students are not eating crap like this because they are poor, they just prefer to spend their money on alcohol.

PERSONALLY I PREFER WITH SOMETHING IN IT, NOT SO KEEN ON JUST THE SAUCE AND OTHER INGREDIENTS ADD TO THE TASTE

So what if people want to eat this... i have a bottle of bollunger champers whilst eating this poured over my quial eggs and venison.

Variety Is the best recipe for a long and healthy life. This stuff is also far better for you than a take-away curry cause they have lard floating on the top. And this poured over rice is 200% better than eating a macd's or a donner.

And also students buy cheap stuff so they can spend money on other things like beer and smokes and maybe designer gear. It all depends on your priorities.

When making comments, look at stuff from different perspectives.

No, I meant throw in a couple of dried spices to all the ingredients you mentioned and you have a curry.

I have just been to Uni and almost every student had an iphone on contract, ps3, and all the new games, broadband etc etc got **** most nights, spent the rest on clothes, tattoos and everything except educational stuff .. in fact the loans and bursaries were pretty much just beer tokens ... if they didnt p*ss away money they didnt have and waste it on unimportant **** they wouldnt need the extra loans and rack up so much debt .. I cant have much sympathy for someone who moans about loans and debt all the time yet blows every penny of educational finance on anything but education and essential living. I have no doubt they buy cheap food cos the blew their funding elsewhere.

Someone said Asda have it for 5p, and this is a repost of that?. Anyway i can not find that thread, and saw this first, so tonight i got a jar of curry for 5p. Sainsburys was 9p earlier today, so is there a curry `war` going on?.

so you buy quality meat and then add 5p sauce, naaaa! some people have mentioned that its best with chips, so for 5p on chips its a bargain!

But if you want to make a curry with this then its false economy lol, A homemade curry sauce can be made for under 50p that can serve upto 5-7 people. Not only it will taste miles better, It will take less time to cook than going to the supermarket to fetch this jar imo.

I feel ripped off, paid 7p for this last week!

I doubt anyone is rushing to the supermarket to buy a single jar when they want a curry. :D

This stuff looks the same before it goes into your body as it does on its way out!
