enough for it to legally be called ham, duh.

Bet there's about 50% water. If you ever freeze ham, then defrost it, the amount of water that comes out of it is ridiculous - and then the texture is also nasty.

But that means nothing - a sausage can be a sausage with as little as 5% meat.

I'm pretty sure I've bought this ham before. If it's the same as I've had then it's proper ham, rather than the reformed with added water types.

But a sausage is not a type of meat :w00t:

"The Food Standards Agency specifies a minimum requirement of 32 per cent meat for a product to be called a 'sausage'. To be called a 'pork sausage' that jumps to a minimum of 42 per cent."

But that's off topic... This ham will have little or no water content as it is normally £1.19 per 100g which is on the medium-expensive side of morrisons deli ham.

this is good quality ham. and please do not let let some farmer fred let you know otherwise because many of the hams he cooks/sells are pretty much the same in quality.

I've tried this at half-price before - boy is it salty!

This is nice ham,its not wet and slimey like some of the cheaper hams.I would imagine this has very little water added to it
