Neat idea but you could buy 5m of rgb led tape with remote for £6 or so

A motion activated light on my bed would get very little use seeing as the missus has taken an act of celibacy.

Might be crazy, and I might require a bit longer than 5m, but what if I put these on my stairs? Hear me out, I could put them horizontally across each step, and so as you walk, each step would illuminate? Obviously, I understand that it will be unlikely to work when walking up the stairs but it sounds like an interesting project to do once I makeover my home.

One sensor wouldnt work, you would need a sensor for each step so it makes no difference as to the length.

Why don't you just get some of those light up trainers that kids have, at least that way people won't be rolling their eyes in disbelief when they go up your stairs.
