The link goes to the home page of the O2 site - as far as I can see this phone is nowhere on O2's site (there is a Moto G3 in 'like new' condition at this price but not an E3) - can you post an accurate link please?

It's there.

Just search for E3 under PAYG.

There aren't any yet, the majority of reviews have been for the Moto E3 Power (bigger battery, 2GB RAM)... The E3 Power won't be released in the UK however.

Comparison's to the very similar Moto G4 Play show that the E3 is almost identical, apart from slightly worse performance, and limited storage (8GB vs 16GB).

I managed 2get the moto e2 for £25 from Vodafone when it was on offer so that was going to be my boys first phone but then I've seen this deal I was considering it, but still only 1gb of ram that's a bit of a let down I think! Ok it's slightly bigger better camera prob a little faster!

wonder if you can combine the sd and merge with the internal space like the moto g

I got the excellent Moto E 2nd gen for £29.99 plus £10.00 topup from Vodafone and £1.19 unlock and £1.29 glass screen protector.

My brother wants the same phone after me raving about the value.
Is the Moto E 2nd gen no longer available for under £50?

How does this deal compare to Moto E at 29.99?
thanks

Adoptable storage doesn't work like that in my experience. It's no different to how apps2SD works on Lollipop, apart from that you can have apps automatically install to the SD card.

The majority of apps still can't be installed to the SD card though, and those that can be usually don't work correctly (missing widgets, bugs, crashes...etc).

It certainly doesn't extend the internal storage as they keep advertising. It also encrypts the card so that it can only be read by the phone (you will lose photos...etc from the card if you damage the phone, as it can't be read by a PC).

Do you also have to pay the £10 top up?

Only found one unlock code seller on ebay, anyone know if it works on this new phone?

This is wrong. Adoptable storage works completely different to the move to SD feature of older Android versions. Depending on your choice of apps you could have the majority install to the SD card. Banking apps will always install to internal storage. I have the Moto E2 and still have 1GB available internal storage. I have five and a half pages of apps installed. That wouldn't be possible under Lollipop.

The moto e2 for that money was a bargain, calling it woeful is a little harsh. I bought one for my mum and mother in law and they both love it for basic texting etc. Don't forget a lot of people still have non smart phones so it was a great was to try one without spending a lot of money.

I'm one of only a handful of folk that dont Facebook or twitter.
I have a £35.00 128GB micro SD card and am a Google Play Music subscriber. So its like an iPod-
I download for offline listening in the car.
Control nest themostat and watch indoor CCTV of my pet cat Bobby.
Is a second phone with no sim at present but an absolute gem
If had I had this as a kid I'd have been bold over with happiness.
Cheers

Yeah and they don't work. The phone is too new to be unlocked. 3 sellers send me this message yesterday. So only good deal if you are on O2.

You don't have to buy top up. Ebay unlock doesn't work however. They say the phone is too new to be unlocked. Shame really...

No, I've been on it for 3rd day now. Ebayers saying that phone is too new to be unlocked. I'll be returning the phone to O2.
