£384 for a Paired Down Nexus.....Sorry its a Big No from me...Nexus 6 coming soon too..

How on earth has this not gone hot yet? The Lumia 635 deal, with exactly the same contract but a different phone has gone hot, and yet this...

I'm a huge fan of Windows Phone (been using it for the last three years), but this deal really should be a lot hotter!

Great deal. With the great customer service as well. Shame the signal isn't great where I live.
#6
i had one experience with tesco mobile and i will never return back to them.hadn't had a 3G signal for nearly two years and the customer service was horrendous.2 years contract and locked into one of the worst customer service experiences i had ever had.be warned :)

WP deals often get unwarranted heat. Personally I think there are marketing types who are voting on here. Android and even iOS deals generally go cold immediately wheras WP deals often go to 20 degrees as soon as they are posted.

Being picky, but Tesco doesn't sell the white version in your photo.

It's a good deal if you don't want to stump up the cost of the phone upfront. I'm currently paying Tesco £10/month for a similar call package, so its £144 (6 x 24) for the phone.

It's £108 for the phone - this is a refresh contract, so you can order a new phone everyday if you want - It's £4.50 for the phone and various contracts you can take starting at £13.50 total (£9 contract and £4.50 phone). It seems to be only 1gb on the Sim only £10 deal

£384 for a Paired Down Nexus.....Sorry its a Big No from me...Nexus 6 coming soon too..
Really? I thought Nexus series was being replaced by Silver?
#13
This is good, but you can get the call/text/data package on a SIM only basis as far as I'm aware from Tesco Mobile for £12.50 per month (1 year, rather than 2 year contract as per this post) and the phone on an unlocked (SIM free) basis for currently £139.99 at Phones4U (White or Black) or Amazon (Black). You pays your money, you makes your choice!! (_;)

http://www.knowyourmobile.com/devices/google-nexus-6/22097/nexus-6-release-date-specs-expected-land-octobernovember-time

Then came the news – well, rumour – that Google was potentially scrapping its Nexus line in favour of something called Android Silver, a global expansion of the Big G’s GPE initiative. Everybody got upset, tears were shed and then Google came out and confirmed that, unlike Elvis, the Nexus line will definitely be returning in 2014.

I went for the £13.50 deal, excellent for me, don't need the 2Gb
#16
Do you know if you can upgrade to the 2gb contract mid term? I would get 750 mb (family perks) but not sure if i would need more - so was thinking i'll get the more expensive contract to be safe. But would rather try the lower package first

Welcome to Tesco Mobile live chat. Someone will start chatting with you soon.
You're through to Deep.
Deep: Hi I'm Deep. How can I help?
Barrie: If I take out a contract with 1GB Data, can I upgrade to a larger data allowance if I find it's not enough?
Deep: Hello Barrie,
Deep: Yes, you can increase your data anytime during the contract.
Barrie: OK, thank you

That's not minus figures - and it's also a different contract - Agreed it's odd that it didn't get hot though!

I just checked with them too and seems you can't downgrade a contract, just upgrade
Prashant: Hi I'm Prashant. How can I help?

Deeper: Hi I'm thinking of taking the new moto g 4g Contract out with the lowest amount of Data - Can i change the contract if it isn't enough and go up to the 2gb one?

Prashant: Thanks for considering our deals. Yes, you can upgrade the allowances anytime during the contract term.

Prashant: Although downgrade is not possible until your contract gets over.

Deeper: Blinding Cheers Prashant

Prashant: So would you like to go with it online now?

Deeper: Nah I need me Cashback innit

Prashant: Which "cash back" are you referring to?

Deeper: Quidco Or TCB

Prashant: No worries. You can also order the deal by using other websites. If you want I can stay connected with you here to help you whole way through.

Deeper: No don't worry - Hope you get commission from someone else though - Over and Out

it was minus so must of got a few votes recently so happy about that :)
and all the various tariffs including this one are mentioned on the thread to save posting for each individual one.
Just a reminder that this site is a refection of trends and deals may not necessarily be "hot" or the best price or of a good quality.
i still use this site as a starting point though

So, is this like a refresh deal where you can payoff the phone and cancel the airtime?

I am confused between this and LG G2, not sure which one to buy.
Yes this one is half the price of G2 but not as speced as G2.... so confused

Both are good choices.

LG G2 if you use your phone a lot in a day (EPIC battery life) and want goodies like OIS in camera, IR Blaster to control TV etc and KnockOn.

Moto G 4G feels nicer (great shape/weight distribution), cheaper like you said but also has Micro SD card slot which is a huge advantage if you like to keep a lot of movies/music etc on your phone.

I stream most of my music from my collection of around 8,000 tracks with Google Play Music or use something like UberHype or Blinkbox music and Netflix for Movies/TV on my G2. If I didn't have 3 AYCE data I think I'd struggle with lack of MicroSD slot.

But like I said, both are good choices.

Sounds like a different Tesco CS to the one the rest of us have dealt with. What did you do to upset them - or did you get through to '3' by mistake? ;)

its a long story but i will give you the short version of my experience with tesco mobile.got an iphone 4s for my mum on 2 year contract, day one the phone struggles to hold a 3g signal,no pic messages being sent or received.calls up customer service to be told the phone will need a new sim, days later sim arrives.new sim hasnt worked and the 3g issue is still there.calls to complain, and told that a mast is out of service in my area,2 weeks later the is still no 3g signal.im now told the phone needs sending back for repair.i argue the toss and tell them i should just get a new phone not a repair on an item less than a month old, they wouldnt have that,so off for repair it goes.to be returned a week later with some form of technical jargon repair and the fault still present.if i called the phone it went to answer machine staight away,if you did get connected it broke up.so two years later the phone was unlocked and an orange sim placed in it to have no issues what so ever. NEVER AGAIN TESCO!!!

Sorry to hear that and so different to my experience of Tesco Mobile CS. It sounds like the root of your problem lay with O2 (who provide the signal) but Tesco were responsible as you had your contract with them.

Now, I could tell you about my dreadful experiences with Orange which left me with no internet for 8 months.............................!

Can't decide whether to take the plunge and go for this or just buy one outright and get a Giffgaff sim. Not sure 2gb will be enough.

If you buy one outright, make sure it's unlocked as the Tesco ones aren't able to be unlocked anymore apparantly.

If anyone is thinking about this deal, It's time to go for it now (probably :p) As this deal is now highlighted as a special offer on the website and not available in store (Only 1gb in store). Got mine on Saturday 8) But had to do it online and not in store... So don't actually have it yet! oO:(

So is this is the same principle as the O2 refresh deals, where you can pay off the phone (£108) and cancel the airtime contract? I'm after a deal for my father in law so this seems perfect.
