Exceptional phone, exceptional price

Moto G is designed for all the things you want to do—taking and sharing photos, watching videos, checking scores, getting directions, listening to music, you name it. Moto G also gives you choices. Different interchangeable backs called Motorola Shells can be switched out to reflect your unique style. Plus, you’ll have access to more than one million apps on Google Play to create your own mobile experience. Every detail is just how you’d like it. And now spend less time waiting, more time enjoying with 4G.

Less time waiting, more time enjoying with 4G LTE

Tired of long connection times and slow downloads? Moto G lets you enjoy incredible speed and seamless experiences streaming videos, downloading content, and connecting with family and friends. Spend less time waiting and more time enjoying.

Edge-to-Edge HD Display

The 4.5”, brilliantly sharp screen is what you’ll notice first. Then how easy it is to use with one hand because of how it’s curved. Every detail, inside and out, is designed to impress. And built to last. If you could see into the future, you’d know Moto G is the phone you’ll have for a good, long time.

Latest Android 4.4, Kitkat with Guaranteed Upgrade

With Moto G, you’ll be running on the Android operating system, the world’s most popular platform. So you’ll stay up to speed with easy access to Google mobile services, more than one million apps and games, and more to come. And with a guaranteed upgrade, you’ll be enjoying the latest and greatest Android experiences.

All day, Quad-Core speed

Moto G is designed for all the things you want to do. With the latest Android operating system, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor and 4G LTE network speed, Moto G delivers a lightning fast experience to enjoy YouTube, Gmail, Chrome, Google Maps, and more.

Water-Resistant Coating and Corning Gorilla Glass

Water is your phone’s worst enemy. So for extra protection, Moto G has a unique water-resistant coating protecting your phone inside and out. Now, a little rain won’t stop you from taking a call. Moto G is made to last. The Corning Gorilla Glass gets you extra protection from everyday scratches and scrapes. So you can actually use your phone the way you want to without worrying about it.

All-Day Battery

You’re not always going to find an outlet or be able to stop and plug in somewhere. Moto G is smart when it comes to the battery, so as you go about your day, you won’t run out of power.

Personalise with Coloured Backs

Every day is different, and your Moto G can be too. It’s completely your call if you want to put on a different coloured back, or set up actions so you’re not bothered when you don’t want to be. Moto G gives you many ways to just be yourself. Moto G has a back you can switch out, just like that. Buy any back—or 10 or 20—that speaks to you. Some have grips. Some have prints. Some flip. All are fun. Then decide to match, or change things up for no reason at all, whenever the mood strikes.

Camera

Moto G has two cameras: one for what’s in front of you, and one that’s facing you. Touch anywhere on the screen to take a shot, or hold your finger on the screen to take multiple shots in a row. Then switch gears and record an HD video or capture a panoramic picture. Just swipe to see your gallery or zoom in on an image. Within three taps, quickly share your best photos with friends and family. For getting the shot and staying in touch, Moto G is all the camera you need.

Heated but still buy from phones4u on a payg deal as you will get free £10 credit on a network of your choice. phones4u payg phones are sim free already so don't buy the sim free version from phones4u. You will also receive free 1 year Gourmet society voucher. Alternatively, if you still want to buy from Amazon, flubit this price and get at least £5 off

Crap camera but i use it as a phone.

I was tempted to use my Tesco anytime upgrade plan to upgrade to the moto g 4g (over 24 months the phone plan costs £108), but at the moment it seems like the PAYG prices of this might start falling.... decisions decisions...

Is it worth upgrading from my Samsung GS2? I find the GS2 still quite fast & nice, however, its battery is very old & tired now, can only last me half a day if I use regularly...

had a look at one of these and wasn't impressed. android didn't feel great on it and display was poor. id rather have the htc desire 500 I have despite it stupid internal storage issue - only has 4gb storage plus microsd but android and non moveable apps use up about 3gb of the 4gb - otherwise htc phone is ok

I'm still gutted I paid £159 for mine

For £159 you can get the 16gb version from argos. Much better option given no ability to add sd card on this version.
#11
8gb too small if you take pictures and videos and install apps. You'll fill it in no time.

so pay more for an older phone, with an older android version and no sd card slot ?
thats a worse deal whether you have a 4g tarrif or not !

£139 from Tesco on PAYG for the 16gb 4G version.

Comes with a sim, and it's locked to Tesco mobile (or O2, Giffgaff etc).. but for a few quid online got it unlocked.

Bargain phone for the specs.

watch out for the SD card slot, it doesn't work with class 6 and above until KitKat 4.4.4 comes to the UK. otherwise I think it's a great phone for sensible people who don't want to spend the earth on a mobile

The Moto G 4G works fine with class 10 Samsung cards.

No. This is the new 4G model with microSD card slot.

I am not convinced by your Christmas pricing guesses either predictive or historical.

I remember buying a zte blade san francisco in 2010 after reading rave reviews on hot uk deals and it was an awful phone. I am feeling the same might be true here. I might just get the LG2 (or whatever it is) for 270 quid.

No. That was the non 4g (and non expandable SD card) version. Hmmm, wait 5 months and get it cheaper...... why not just wait 5 years and get it from Cash Converters for £5!? :p

No, this really is as good a phone as everyone says it is (I've had one about a month) - and it's not just on HDUK, pretty much all the reviews I've read elsewhere have been positive and have this as the best <£150 phone. The main compromise is the camera. It's not crap, as some people claim, but it's a bit so, so. (but then if you want a better camera, you probably need to spend more..) Other than that, the screen is good (and about the right size for me at 4.5"), the interface smooth and it all works as it should.

I think you'll find the £139 Moto G 4G at Tesco is for the 8Gb version - AFAIK, motorola haven't brought out a 16Gb 4G version yet. If I am somehow mistaken, please provide a link as I'd love to buy a 16Gb 4G for that price :)

Just add a micro sd and save all pics to memory card. (This is the 4g model so comes with Micro SD slot)
