Only 2gb ram. Very expensive for 2gb ram, Most modern Android phones have 6gb ram.

What Android phone has 6GB Ram??

As far as I know most are 1GB or 2GB with a fewer high end with 3 or 4GB

Just done a Flubit to see what kind of discount they'd offer, came back with 16%, which is around £25 off.

Good deal OP, and heated. This is a flagship at a budget price, guaranteed Andoid updates for three years and absolutely no crappiola on the stock UI seals it for me. Weird omission of NFC with the upcoming Android Pay.

Out of interest, this is not the dual SIM version I guess?

Haha yeah a great phone, had the 1st gen for ages, missus has the 2nd gen and she wants a new phone as hers has gone a bit sluggish. This could be it

I have the 5x and smart ultra 6. The £99 SU6 is better IMO, apart from camera. Battery doesn't even last a day with moderate use on the 5x. This phone looks good, but might as well wait for the £125 smart ultra 7

When the Smart Ultra 7 comes out someone will advise waiting for Smart Ultra 8, and others will say the 7 was better.

It will be out next month, not like you're waiting a year....

EU legislation provides for 2 years from either reseller. However John lewis would doubtlessly offer better customer care should there be a problem.

Great post OP. Anyone know where you can get an original flip case that replaces the back for one of these ?
The Tesco one @ £149 is locked aswell.

The Tesco one @ £149 is locked as well.

What does this mean then?

"Meet the new Moto G. It is a Moto Pure phone, which means you can use it on any major carrier and easily switch any time you choose."

Agreed! It seems a very good phone - except it would be far too big for me and lack of NFC is a killer.

Checked with Tesco. The phone at £149 is locked to Tesco, phone at £159 is not.

Above description is a 'details error' on website concerning the locked phone, it refers to the SIM free model

Not available in-store at JL Oxford St, in case anyone else is tempted to waste their time looking for one. Mind you the sales person seemed never to have

What crucial stuff would nfc be used for regularly?

Contactless, use your phone like a debit card.

'Android Pay' in coffee shops etc, it is very handy but maybe not crucial

I'd err on the side of caution and wait until 8gb becomes the norm.
