Cheapest price Iv seen for this phone and with a 12 month Argos guarantee your getting a lot of phone for not much money. Refurbished but should be as good as new, just a repackaged return that's obviously passed all the inspection criteria. My first ever hukd post, hope this helps somebody.

OOS now :(

am I missing something here, what's the point of paying £119 for a good as new phone with a 12 month guarantee, when you can get a brand new one with a 2 year guarantee for 30 quid more, cold for me

Depends if you want to get the phone as cheap as possible or have an extra years warrenty for an extra £30. I'd rather save the £30 this time of year but each to there own.

not just the warranty though is it, brand new for extra 30pound as opposed to second hand refurb

True, but refurb from Argos is likely to be someone opening it, deciding they don't want it for whatever reason and then taking it back the shop. Iv ordered one anyway and if it's not in prestine condition I will be taking it back and getting a new one. If It's in prestine as new condition I will keep it and save £30.

If you open a case for item not as described, eBay will always side with you the buyer and provide you with a return postage label free of charge. Isn't it great to be an eBay buyer ;)

Really? That's what put me off getting this....I saw a review that the 2nd sim slot was also the memory card slot

It does work out cheaper in a way for the tm deal....haven't seen any £5 for 1gb 500 mins and 5000 text deals. Phone is £120 over 2 years plus it's spread out.

Why would a dedicated slot for micro SD put you off? The 2nd sim slot doubling as micro SD slot provides no benefit and people who have phones with that combi slot setup means that they have to choose whether to have 2 sims or 1 sim and a micro SD. A dedicated slot means you can have dual sim and micro SD card in the phone at the same time and even if you don't use them, it saves the hassle of having to remove the back cover and swap between 2nd sim and micro SD.

I meant the fact that it didn't have a dedicated SD card slot put me off it.....people get dual SIM phones because they need 2 sims.

Good for you if £30 is nothing. To me its worth having. A 2 year warranty is worth nothing anyway as your consumer rights protect you for a lot longer than that if the goods are not durable.

I recently saw the Moto G4 on a 24 month contract for £10/month with quite a lot of mins/text/1 Gb data, I would probably opt for that rather than pay £120 upfront for a refurb. Think it was with talk mobile or CPW.

Edit: turns out it was found through mobile phones direct - https://www.mobilephonesdirect.co.uk/contract-mobile-phones/motorola-moto-g4
