It is an outgoing model, still fantastic phone and good price. Sold by Amazon France.

Once the transaction comes in my debit card, will report actually what was it in GBP. It should be cheaper than 258(which Amazon's converter suggested).

Edit: price reduced again in amazon france

Edit:Now Amazon stopped selling this :-(

Cold for me. £250 for a midrange phone is quite expensive I think, especially when you can get the G2 for maybe 10% more.

Not to mention, double the memory (expandable too).

I have read a lot about Moto X user experience which goes beyond raw specs. This is a very good price considering the launching price. Comparing it to a more expensive model won't help. Generally, if you pay some percent more money you will probably get something better, right?

G2 is good indeed and better than Moto in hardware. But what does that mean to the user is arguable.

So do most people apart from the geeks who only care about "specs"

Not expandable.

Fair point! Still think it's better to get the g2. Better cpu/camera/screen. Essentially.. The only difference is if you want a smaller phone.

I think you really need to use both to appreciate the Moto X over the G2. I am not saying the G2 is bad, because it is not, but for me the Moto X is a preferable device and is the reason why I am about to buy one – maybe this deal. It feels so much nicer in the hand, it has a rgb amoled screen (I prefer amoled even at lower res). It’s “gimmicks” are also useful – always listening, active display and trusted Bluetooth make life easier. The only thing LG have added that has value is knock on. But the killer feature for the X is the minimally modified version of Android with fast updates compared to the cat has been sick on my screen and less than perfect update record that LG have.

Rumours are that the Moto X+1/X2 will be announced sometime in August. If so, expect prices for the current stock of Moto Xs to plummet around that time. (Fingers crossed) (_;)

Things don't work like that usually with smartphones. They get discontinued before a massive price drop.

It is highly unlikely that it will drop a big amount at the time of a new release. This phone is already discontinued as suggested by many UK retail websites.

i really hope the sim free moto X's do come down...it's an old phone but it's still really appealing to me, specs and all. i really like the motorolas and £200 would bring it into the buy territory. it's also fully up to date android wise and will probably continue to be so.

it looks like the X+1/X2 will be a borderline phablet with beefy specs, so totally different to this...

Too late for even buy this. It is sold by third party now. There is no realistic chance to buy this from a reputed seller at 200 IMO.
