Moto Z £354.99 on Amazon - not as cheap as John Lewis was, but only slightly more than Amazon was

£354.99 @ Amazon

This is my second deal - and still probably something I'm not going to end up buying myself.

I'm still waiting for a sub-£300 HTC 10. May never happen, but I'm waiting, just in case. That or a new Moto X 2014.

I don't think your sales pitch - basically "it's more expensive than 2 recent deals" - is going to win you much heat! (_;)

I dunno... that extra 4.99 would cover your first tempered glass screen protector - you know, the one you mis-align, pull off, put back on but it doesn't stick right and there's dust trapped on it and then it gets chipped in the first day.

(This is a sweeping generalisation and in no way related to my experience with the 349.99 Moto Z delivered to me on Tuesday).

I'm still waiting on a nano-sim for it, so I haven't used it and can't give dependable feedback on performance or utility, but it's a gorgeous phone. Anyone complaining about the camera bump has clearly not fitted the included rear cover that blocks off the MotoMod port if you're not using it, without adding any significant bulk or weight to the phone - the millimeter or 2 it adds to the recessed section of the rear fills out the camera bump nicely. It's a magnetic snap-on in black with a rough cloth finish. Deluxe!

There's a bumper surround in the box if you put the phone's safety ahead of it's looks. The AC Adapater has a fixed cable rather than being a wall-wart with a removable USB-C to USB-C, which is a little annoying (as there's no USB-C or C-A cable in there).

Be aware, setup is a bit of a drag if you want to get to Nougat, I've done 4 update cycles and I'm not done yet!

Given it's a skinny-as-feck phone the tray for the Sim and SD is terrifying to fit. If you're using force you're probably doing it wrong or one of the cards is slightly out of alignment. Back up and start again.

Tl;Dr: Nice! Heat!
