Asda Motor Oil:

mineral oil 10W40 motor oil
Semi synthetic motor oil - 10w/40
Semi synthetic motor oil - 5w/30

It meets most of the common specifications and is significantly cheaper than branded products.
There will be those that say cheap unbranded oil is rubbish, that's OK just go and spend £20+ elsewhere.

Not recommended...2 stroke oil needs different properties so that the lubrication continues throughout the combustion process.
Having said that I know some that do use it in 2 strokes, trouble is that any damage would be slow to show and may not be attributed to the use of incorrect oil.

Was really thinking of as an engine oil as the mower is 4 stroke.
