Motorola Defy Mini Mobile Phone - Asda bargain.....!! £79.00!!
This looks like a good deal to me... I got it for my summer hols. Should be a perfect 2nd phone...
The Motorola DEFY and Motorola Defy+ were both award-winners, and the Motorola Defy Mini follows in their footsteps. It's dust-proof and water resistant, with a Corning Gorilla Glass screen, and has the same "life-proof" tagline as its forebears. On this budget version, though, the screen is a smaller 3.2in version with a 320x480 resolution, and it has a 600MHz rather than 1GHz processor.
Better phones out there for sure but not for this money......

Not a hot deal in my opinion but an alternative to the san fran and Ascend for buyers out there that don't all want to be the same!
With all due respect I think your missing the point of "Hotukdeals" guys!
It's not about what you feel is value for money, is comparative to other prices. If a phone is £100 at the very cheapest, and then someone finds it for £79 - thats a hot deal! End of story...
Just because the specifications aren't as good as you might like, doesn't mean its still not a good deal. It might be just what others are looking for. But because you don't vote hot, or even worse, vote cold others might not come across it :(
Try to be more objective - its not personal!
- Oh and if a deal is "cold" can people who say/vote that please supply a deal that betters it, and therefore proves its cold! -

Or for people who go swimming/shower with their phones.
It's not the best phone in the world. But it's a sturdy smartphone like the defy + that can withstand most drops etc... So if you need something reliable and sturdy get this for an excellent price! Like one poster mentioned, the G300 by Huawei is a good alternate option if you don't need your phone to be unbreakable.

Also, has A-GPS at this price so may be good for mountain bikers, runners and the like - that's what I use my DEFY for!
Bit of a stroppy name, innit?
I couldn't have one on that grounds.
What's the next model?
Motorola "IN YER F'ING FACE!!!"?
This is as daft as the "carrot fit jeans" post. oO

Many other phones so easily self destruct which keeps the 2nd hand value high.

Whats the point of voting then? I'f someone posts the cheapest deal, then automatically make it go to 3000 degrees.
Happy?
Err, you sure about that? It definitely says water resistant, rather than water proof.

That's a part of it but it's certainly not all of it. If every other retailer was selling this phone for £10k, and Asda had it for £5k - would you say it's an incredible deal? A stupid argument I agree, but I think it shows that everyone, even you, makes judgement on the value aspect of the deal - and not just whether it happens to be the cheapest around.

It says water resistant but if its like the defy I remember reading people who worked on building sites would wash it in the sink with soapy water at the end of the day with no problem, I still wouldn't try it myself but apparently it resists more water than a few splashes ;-)
