Motorola F3 Red (payg) mobile is £24.95 delivered from Phones4U.co.uk

Includes £10 airtime and go via Quidco for another £10 in cashback. After £20 cashback & airtime, the cost of F20 is just £4.95... bargain ! Thanks to emasu for the Quidco pointer.

Description : Anyone who's after a straightforward phone at a sensible price will be attracted to the MOTOFONE F3 - although it'll also fascinate a few geeks. The main reason is the handset's "ClearVision" display. This monochrome marvel uses Electrophoretic Display (EPD) technology, which means it's incredibly easy to see any on-screen messages. In fact, it's as plain to read as a piece of paper - even in bright sunlight.

In addition, the EPD technology takes up less space than a standard colour display. As a result, the F3 is less than 10mm deep and weighs under 70g. And it's happy to slip into any pocket, thanks to a flat keypad and dust-resistant design. It'll even talk to you, with voice instructions that explain the phone's menu functions.

CEX give you £23 trade in value against something else, for example if i traded in the phone against something that is £30, i'd pay £7

Might be wrong, but I thought that this used a 7 segment digit-type display (with a few extra diagonals for letters), which would be unable to display the graphial M logo as shown on the image (sorry - I'm too picky with things like this). good deal though for a phone with brilliant battery life.

I've had one for nearly 2 months and the battery doesn't last longer than 5/6 days, even when locked a drawer. Several online reviewers have noticed this discrepancy as well, it's masively short of the claimed 13 days.
In contrast my Nokia 1112 only drops one bar in the same 5 day period.
I contacted Motorola and they said 'batteries are at an optimum during early life and efficiency declines with age and use'. So they didn't answer my question at all as the phone is 'new' and the battery cycled correctly.

I think you'll find that the mobile is red on the front, BUT black behind ??

It is, it's like a red plastic laminate - doesn't look anywhere as good as the black in the flesh.

The ones I bought from Phones4U when it first came out, all had the credit on the sim card. I have been told by a reliable source that if you already have a virgin number you can phone them up and ask them to transfer the credit.

I'm still waiting for Phones4U to send me the £10 voucher promised, after over a week. I'm sick of ringing them.

Till then the phone makes a pretty paperweight :(

Anyone else had probs with Phones4U?
