*******************

The Motorola L6 mobile phone combines the futuristic look of Motorola's RAZR and PEBL handsets with a conventional shape. Conventional from the front, anyway. From the side it's impressively thin, offering a waif-like profile that'll barely crease your jacket pocket. You're almost tempted to take it home and give it a hearty meal instead of just charging the battery.
Despite the slim form, this handset packs a heavyweight technological punch. You'll discover a camera with an auto-timer and digital zoom, enabling you to create your own multimedia photo albums. The camera also records video clips, giving you the option of even more variety.

Bluetooth connectivity is a welcome addition whether you're planning on using the Motorola L6 for fun or for business. You can send pictures to other compatible mobiles, send information to PCs or connect to a handsfree headset. In addition, a built-in loudspeaker offers another type of handsfree conversation.

The whole package is rounded off with a variety of customisable options, including screensavers, wallpaper images and MP3 ringtones. The Motorola L6 has a set of features that won't disappoint - and a style that's stunning.

You also get 25 FREE full length music tracks as a bonus from Virgin

Really started to get annoyed with Carphone Warehouse, was on the phone to them for over 2 hours yesterday on 0870 number. Used my o2 contract so luckily it was a free call. Won't go in to massive detail but their web-site doesn't take Alliance & Leicester to be the name of a building society which as we all know it is! So I phoned them up and they said I could place the order over the phone, great I thought, but they won't honour the cashback I would get if I bought on-line (£15 direct from CPW and £35 quidco) So per phone I would be £50 down and as I wanted 4 phones I would be £200 down. We spent 2 hours arguing about this, basically getting thrown from department to department with everyone saying it wasn't their problem. I said I wanted to speak to a manager, a fair enough request after 2 hours on the phone. They all refused, apparently it's their policy that managers don't speak to customers even about complaints.

I basically gave them three options:

1. Fix the web-site so I can order over the net getting my £50 cashback.
2. Give me the £50 cashback ordering over the phone
3. Make me order over the phone and not give me any cashback so I lose £200 just because their web-site doesn't work properly.

They refuse to choose an option but the one they are trying to make me do is number 3 but of course they can't say that. They don't seem to understand that they would have to pay me that cashback if I went via the web-site. I have expained to them so many times that I'm not asking for anymore than I would get if I could go via their web-site.

So my question is, do you think I'm being unreasonable here or should CPW either fix their web-site or give me the cashback I would've got?

Thanks, have to phone them back today! What do you think about the rest of it? I've never dealt with a company that refuse to deal with something. They even admit to me that most people wont help as they want to sell me something so they earn commission, if they fix the problem they earn less commission. I went crazy at one guy who tried to sell me a home phone line and some accessories! He completely ignored my problem and said "I can save you money on your home phone line!" Which he couldn't as I get staff discount on my home phone line making it the cheapest in the country.

Another woman said that there were better deals avaliable that would make me £50 better off anyway, I said to her to be very clear about if she thought there might be better deals or if she KNEW that there were better deals, she confirmed several times that there WERE better deals which after 20 minutes of her going off to find one she returns to tell me exactly what I had said and that this (motorola razr v3 2.99 12 months) was the best deal they had available at the time. She couldn't even be bothered to say sorry to me for lying about the better deals and wasting 20 minutes of my time.

Going for the world record on longest call today, have been 40 mins already. Glad I've got a freephone number now! I think I was near to running out of free minutes, and mobile phone battery!

Don't trust e2save, only trust somewhere with a shop you can march into and shout at them until all their customers disappear. That way they'll start doing something pretty quickly if you don't get your cashback.

Just got off the phone, slightly short of the record at 1hr 40 mins. Basically they chose option 3, stuff me cos their website doesn't work I have to miss out on £200 worth of cashback! Another manager phoning me by the end of the day.

Yes, must give (I think) 30 days written notice to cancel. Use the free minutes, if you go over them you must pay for the extra so try not to go over them.

You have to pay for each bill but claim back so effectively all your paying is £20 for the year. Did you go through quidco? If so then you'd get £35 back, also if you ordered on-line they currentyl have a deal where you get £15 sent to you automatically within 28 days so make sure you receive that. Means you make a bit of profit on the deal! If you'd chosen trade in you can send a phone, charger and manual back to them for £20. You can usually pick up a phone for about £10, or maybe you've got an old one laying about anyway?

It's changed to 12 months at £2.99 effectively £36, gone up by £16 for the year, not much but hopefully you got it before it changed.

Just make sure to read very carefully how to do the cashback, make sure you know what form to send and which bill to send etc well in advance and plan it out for the year, set yourself reminders on phones, computers, diaries etc.

That way you'll get your cashback. Also make sure that all your bills are paid for by direct debit and there are enough funds in your account at the time of paying as unpaid bills can cause massive problems with claiming cashback.

Last but not least, if you've followed all the t&c's and don't get your cashback, which shouldn't be a problem as it's carphone warehouse, be prepared to go down the small claims court route.

Hope that helps.

Sorry but e2save is a part of the Carphone warehouse group- and despite what they say about the distinction, all e2save information is stored on the same system as CPW so you can go into a branch and shout if needs be ifthere is a problem. When in doubt if they ask say you bought it for CPW as opposed to E2save and best of all use the branch phones to phone up to complain- I did this and apart from taking up my lunchtime it was worth it.

The only thing is I think they may limit is the amount of contract you can have out in one go- read somewhere that the max contracts per their group is 4 per year altohugh some networks will only let you have 1 contract at a time and once you have completed a number of months then you can have another one.

You're probably right. I didn't mean don't trust e2save, I meant that I generally don't trust one of the big household names.

CPW said they have a limit of 2 contracts per customer. I guess that means that I wouldn't be able to get one with e2save but I think I might try soon. Anyone know how the price match thing that CPW have going works? Does that mean you can quote something from a dodgy cashback site and get the carphone warehouse guarentee on it?
