Motorola L6 on O2 £49.99 + £75 HMV Voucher

Not an exceptionally cheap price but £75 HMV voucher plus £3.50 Quidco
I hope this isnt a misprice as they did a similar deal a month or so ago on a Motorola V3IM but it was only £45 voucher then.

If the vouchers are the same as before they are for £15 each and expire at the end of this year but i would think once you have added them to your E-Wallet in your HMV account they would be valid until you use them. Maybe they are trying to get rid off them because they expire soon

I've ordered one anyway and have taken a screenshot so i have proof if they dont send the vouchers

what can these vouchers be used for? music only for the phone?
or anything on the hmv website
#2
Can these phones be unlocked? Please help!
#3
Anyone want a £75 voucher for £50? :P

Good deal if the voucher can be spent on "anything" in store, especially if you were going to be buying a large order from them. Could even get yourself an Xbox 360 at a steal!

@ gianni... most phones can be unlocked. If you know of an unlocking store/stall [car boot sale etc], simply ask if they can unlock a Motorola L6. Will likely cost £10 at most places.

Good point woohomoo, that's what i was hoping for.
Not enough info on the 02 site about the vouchers which puts me off, for now at least.
The phone itself will get you £8.46 in cash, or £9.72 in argos vouchers from envirophone, plus the quidco if there is some there, so, could well be nice, like we have said, if the vouchers allow

Here is a link to the terms and conditions of the vouchers they were giving away a month or so ago, hopefully they will be the same.

Good post Wesker :)
So, they're £15 each voucher, but (it seems) you can use all three at once then, nice. Hopefully they will be the same.
Have some rep for being helpful, and same for OP.
If i get one, it'll be my 5th mobile phone lol :)

When the offer was posted on here before with the Motorola V3IM and £45 of vouchers i remember some people saying that they couldnt use more than one voucher on their HMV account so they had to open new accounts to use the vouchers. I never had a problem using all 3 £15 vouchers on the same account

Were you able to use several vouchers on one purchase?

I think i made several smaller purchases and used part cash part voucher but when you add them to your e-wallet it doesnt say you have xx amount of vouchers, just the total value ie: £75
So i'm sure you can either use small amounts if you just wanted to buy a dvd for example or use the whole amount in one go off and XBox 360 or similar.
Also you can use the £5 off £30 etc vouchers that are often posted on here

Thanks for this ;-)

I spend too much at HMV, my current phone is terrible, I can't get a contract phone, I already use O2 PAYG so don't need to worry about unlocking to keep using my SIM. Perfect deal for me. :-D

Worst case scenario, the £75 turns out to be "£75 of discounts" or £75 for music downloads or something rubbish and I can return it for a refund, right?

hi

Mine just went through fine just now and registered as a new customer,,,thanx v.much Op a great find.
#17
yeah worked ofr me in the end, thank you for a great deal!!!!!!
#18
So they HMV vouchers can only be used for music purchases then?
#19
Dunno if they've removed them, but as far as I can see there's no mention of vouchers with this deal.
#20
no its still there, and when you add it to basket it confirms it too
#21
hmmm, when I view all motorola phones some have extra's listed below the "add to compare" option - but not this one.

I can't get it to add to basket to check - I'm still trying
#22
shame - shows the HMV vouchers when chosen from "quick jump to phone" - but won't load the tarrifs! I suspect either the site is overloaded, or they are trying to withdraw the offer as we speak :(
#23
now says the site is down for maintainence for me :(

So they HMV vouchers can only be used for music purchases then?

If so I'll be returning it. It doesn't say anything like that anywhere I can see.

After the checkout on your confirmation page, it lists the extras as:

75GBP HMV Voucher -- FREE

There's no link for details or anything. I'm hoping it's a real paper voucher I can spend in store on my pre-order Wii on Friday. Failing that, it should be e-vouchers for anything on hmv.co.uk. I suppose it could be 75 "£1 off when you spend £100" vouchers or some rubbish like that?

edit: I assumed it was the case just because of distance selling and stuff, but it clearly says on the site you can return a phone within 14 days. So I bought it now in case it sells out or the change the price or something.

done the same here

Noticed that since the site came back up it allows you to buy phone but then when you try to buy the tariff it sends you to some other site. The way round this was to select view the tariff details which then gives you details of the HMV vouchers and button to buy. When you do this you can still get this offer. I wouldn't be surprised if they are trying to remove this offer as we speak. Great deal.
#29
@ the bird they would have done that wen the site wne t down

props to the OP added hot
#30
Yeah, now this "rhodes" url re-direction has appeared, i can't buy. Lol, another hot deal i left for too long

:?

Not sure what you mean. I can't see any other sites or details of the vouchers, it's working for me same as when I buy it (not that I've gone all through the checkout again!).

You add the phone to basket, then choose from 3 tariffs.
The url is:
https://rhodes/web/guest/tariffs?p_p_id=o2_xslt_w_INSTANCE_cPGq&p_p_action=1&p_p_state=normal&p_p_mode=view&p_p_col_order=w1&p_p_col_pos=0&p_p_col_count=2&_o2_xslt_w_INSTANCE_cPGq_cmd=submit

and it doesn't work, for me at least in firefox, will try IE6
#35
Nice one The Bird, have got one stage further, thx

I'm getting none of that in firefox or IE6 :?

To get that, i did this OdOd:

Went to quidco
Clicked on PAYG great deals.
Clicked on L6
Clicked on Select and View all Tariffs, and the rhodes url came up and bombed out

What i did using TheBird's advice was:

Went to quidco.
From right side links, clicked view all phones.
Went to page 4, and found L6
Clicked on view details, below L6 itself (which then added to basket)
Then select, View all tariffs
Clicked on View details (of the bottom tariff)
Then, back to tariffs
Clicked on add to basket for the tariff i wanted, and this was the only way (for me) to bypass this rhodes url redirection lol
#38
We're sorry, on this occasion your order has been declined. ???

Yeah I selected phone then it presented tariffs to choose from. If click on buy tariff it sent me to rhodes site but if click on view tariff went to different page and could then select buy tariff and finalise purchase. Good luck all.
