By all accounts a great phone and not bad for 18 month contract. Sim free £375 so not bad with a contract imo

One of the better handsets on the market at the moment.

Shame not all networks carrying it.

Having checked one compare, I stand corrected.

does anyone know what this site is like? and if they are good with redemptions?

I'm so annoyed with Motorola over this phone. If it had come out in the UK when it did in the US I would have bought one with no second thought. But we got it later as usual (even though it was available back end of last year in the UK).

Now I find myself wondering if this phone is too outdated to considering buying - will it get the android updates and be able to use all the features? Will it run new apps fast enough? It seems to be the same with a lot of Android phones, by the time they are actually released after being announced, there's already news of a new, more improved model that will render yours obsolete!

I guess this is just the nature of technology in general, but I seem to have noticed it more so with Android mobiles. Anyway, hot price :whistling:

I have the Milestone, and it is an absolutely great phone :D My only complaint of it is that it takes a while to get the updates compared to the Droid in the US. This phone is still the leading edge Android phone. The Nexus One might be Google's phone, but they aren't doing a very good job of advertising/selling it. It does have a more powerful processor but right now, the Milestone copes fine with most apps even the heavily bloated MotoNav that came bundled with mine.

Cash Back seems a big hassle
7 months half price is total of £105 cash back that will be given in 5 equal stages for 18 months contract ie £21 each.

I'm up for renewal on T-Mobile in May and will definitely be going for another Android handset. The Droid is good, a friend who works for Motorola recently got one and he said he's very impressed.

But I think in another month or so we will have the full picture on who will be carrying the HTC Legend, Desire and/or Nexus One.

Its not a good deal the HTC HD2 can be had from virgin for £30 a month on a 24month contract and is a way better phone the milestone took a beating by the HTC on the gadget show 2 weeks ago.

Depends if you class consumer advice from the gadget show as reliable... I don't.

I have the milestone because I needed a full qwerty android phone, there was no competition really. I thought the HD2 was a windows phone?

The gadget show?! Where they racing round (badly) on roller skates and/or skateboards while conducting the tests by any chance? What should be a decent show is ruined by squirmingly embarrassing presenters targeting the show at 10 year olds.

And HD2 is windows mobile 6.5. Personally I'd wait for the HTC desire but the milestone is a decent phone.

Very tempted by this phone.

Wouldnt touch the HTC HD2 with a bargepole now that Windows 7 Mobile is released.

Windows Mobile ala 6.5 and previous are now essentially obsolete as Windows 7 Mobile is a completely new codebase and totally incompatible with previous versions of Windows Mobile.

Windows 6.5 Mobile will still be sold on phones as Windows Mobile Starter I beleive, but essentially its a dead duck.

Chalk and Cheese polly. The Milestone has a full qwerty keyboard and runs Android 2. The HTC is touchscreen only,MUCH bigger and runs Windows 6.5. Not really a comparison.

Did you pay attention to the review?

He had only 2 points against the phone...

1: Its ugly.

Its going to live in my pocket so that is irrelevent.

2: They keypad is too fiddly.

Ive got the phone and I dont really agree, its much easier to use than say the touch keypad on the iphone...he completely ignored the fact it has the same touchscreen keypad as the nexus one they were testing too.

Milestone is fantastic, HD2 looks good but its windows 6.5 and lacks all of the massive ammount of advantages the android phones have.
