This has been available at John Lewis and Amazon for this price.
It will probably drop in price to £129.99 again on those two sites

Motorola are no longer reliable for updates like they used to be last years moto g3 isn't getting nougart so chances are this years phone won't get next years update its likely to encourage people to buy a new moto g yearly maybe we should they cheap enough

Yes I heard this too, a real shame as that was a very big selling point for me and my family. I can understand them cutting updates after 2 years but 1 year is unfair.

Strange ordering system as usual using their site. Appears that if you choose the Vodafone option there is no eligibility checker and you can get next day delivery to store. For some reason it says pre order if you try delivery to a home address.

Ordered via Vodaphone upgrade as no verification needed - will it come locked to Vodaphone?

But you could buy a new one every year for the next 4 years and still pay less than buying an iPhone 7 .... plus I can plug headphones into my phone :p

Im also wondering if this comes locked to Vodafone. Anyone know?

I read on MoneySavingExpert that if you unlock a mobile you invalidate the warranty in most cases . Is that correct?
#14
it won't be locked from here they never are...

Thanks @tranceazure- I also checked with CPW - they told me it wont come locked.

I just bought on the Vodafone upgrade through topcashback and my topcashback account is showing a pending discount of £5.25 (for new PAYG sales at Carphone Warehouse). I wasnt sure Id get anything from topcashback as its a "...handset purchase..." (see below) but it looks like Ive qualified since its an upgrade:-

- What will stop me getting cashback?

Please note, cashback will not be paid out on a handset purchase. Only new contracts and upgrades.

- So it looks like since I bought the Moto G4 on an upgrade from Carphone Warehouse that I'll get £5.25 cashback - if so it takes the cost of the Moto G4 to £124.74. Great deal if you ask me. Thanks to @anthonyduffy526.

I haven't got that problem with mine ... I did have a problem for the first day where the mic was so low nobody could hear me talk unless I put it on speakerphone which also increases the mic gain. This disappeared after a restart though.

Ive not had my despatch email notification yet, after which it is supposed to be delivered the next day. Looks like three day minimum delivery for me. I'll post when it arrives.

My order ultimately failed (order placed whilst the webpage was skipping the eligibility test but CPW performed their own test before confirming order). I tried again with an active 02 number however it failed the eligibility test. CPW told me your number has to have been active for over 6 months before you qualify for the upgrade. I think mine is about 5 months old. So close...
