If I was going to spend this amount of money on a phone it wouldn't be a Motorola. If I did get one then I wouldn't buy directly from Motorola. Their after sales 'support' is abysmal and they refuse to honour their obligations under the Consumer Rights' Act.

Exactly the same phone.

Memory is 3gb on both.

It's also sooooooo easy to scratch this screen.

It's basically made of butter.

Hah, but doesn't everyone put a screen protector on their phone anyway?
The Eglobal one is supplied with two

Sparky at work has one and screen went funny the other week, it only got a little damp.

Phoned them up and had no issues and phone came back completely like new, new screen, new back, presume new internals. Serial number was the same, that was about it.

Can't fault the service apart from the phone going faulty in the first place.

It's the only phone he hasn't managed to smash the screen on in the first week after having cat phones previously.

Yeah you can.

But the top layer of this is especially a screen protector anyway (just one that Motorola will charge you £20 for if you can find it in stock).

With another one on as well it's pretty horrible tbh. Not unusable but noticeably less responsive etc.

Isn't this the model that suffers with lines down the screen??

'New screen, new back, (presume) new internals. Sounds like a new phone to me! If he was dealing directly with Motorola then he was extremely fortunate.

Actually I find it just as responsive. I've also got a waterproof case for it and even through that and the screen protector, it's fine.

Really?

Each to their own I guess.

Even without a screen protector the screen felt odd to me compared to other phones.

It doesn't lag. There's just something going on. Perhaps it's just optical because the screen is sitting deeper.

Mine was fine for the 8 months or so I had it.

Bezel will crack before the screen breaks.

As i said, same IMEI number.

I was dealing with Moto/Lenovo and as i said didn't have an issue. Phone was back within 5 days.

Oh yes?
Well i've got one of these cases, so I hope to avoid that :)
It's got a fold out stand at the back, I think this is the cheapest price, it does make it about 18mm deep at the deepest

Looks bombproof that!

Although you'd be hard pushed to crack a screen on any other phone wrapping it up like that.

Yeah. The bezel on mine went first drop. Screen was fine.

That was without a case mind.

Who needs a rock solid screen on a three year old phone as you can buy for this sort of money brand new one every year for three years and with more efficient specs?!

My borther broke three phones in one year. He is getting this for his birthday (not at this price though...)
