What do you mean by "make sure and add your other free one on, you can pick any of them". I see the one that is added automatically but I didn't need to add it myself?

TCB seems to be offering 5% cashback too

They mean you get the automatic one and another one free if you add it to order.

Good offer if you want the speaker mod / backing plate. Most of the negativity around this phone seems to stem from a combination of small battery and merely 'OK' camera (a mod is available for... eh, a lot of money). Even then, the camera mod doesn't fix the issue of low light pictures, which are a big factor in the UK.

as in my comment one gets added automatically as it comes with the phone with or without the code, so add another manually and once you add the code the one you added is marked as free.

Going be previous offers comments on this or similar deal with motorola they wont track. Only codes given out by TCB will allow the cashback to track.

I'm wondering if I should upgrade from a Nexus 6P. I almost bought the Moto Z instead of the Nexus last year but the price then put me off.

Love the idea of this phone with the extra battery for satnav on my bike and the Hasselblad zoom camera the rest of the time. But why do all the offers include the speaker that I have no use for?
#9
My experience with Motorola devices sadly has led me to no longer recommend them. I purchased a Moto X Play back around September/October 2015. First one came defective but was kindly replaced by Amazon. Nearly 2 years down the line and its definitely not lived up to the expectations. Wear and tear seems to be more apparent on this phone, scuffs everywhere and overall durability is poor. Camera quality is good in daylight but seriously bad in Low light. And despite the phone running near stock android, it has seemed to slowed down a lot even with a few times of formatting the phone. Battery life has also shortened with me having to charge the phone mid day and most importantly (reason I'm upgrading to the S8) is because the charger port seems to have broken. Only certain cables work when turned and put up against something and the Brocken functionality of QC 2.0 meant it was time to upgrade.

Because like you, few people actually want the speaker so they've probably got loads on the shelf they want to get rid of, knowing most people would buy the battery and maybe the camera (although reviews for the camera aren't necessarily that good given the price vs other cameras.

What you expect from Mid/Low range device? To be like new after 2 years?

Damn I'm really tempted by this, but put off by the massive bezel in the bottom.

Still gets hot for people that don't mind smaller screen to bezel ratio, not not for me I'm afraid (good phone apart from that at a good price).

They won't repair or it goes faulty and it will!. Lenovo suck. Don't spend the same money that could get you an S7 instead.

I bought this last time for my father. It is an excellent phone... but I wouldnt have thought it was much if any of an upgrade over a Nexus 6P

Mine has just arrived from the previous offer. Comes with a free clear bumper. I've put a screen protector on, but because the edges of the screen curve slightly it doesn't fit that well. Just updating to Android 7 now.

Sound from the speaker add-on is good, even if I can't really see when I'll use it...!

Being one of the best pure android experiences around and at this price for a flagship, its a no brainer for anybody :)

I've ordered 2, first I forgot to add the extra style cap mod (and they wont let you make changes to or cancel orders once they have been put through) so had hoped to return the first order, can you advise if the invoice says anything about how to return? If its a hassle i'll probably just sell, should be able to get my money back hopefully.

EDIT: After typing this got 2 emails saying both orders on hold, spoke to the online chat and original order now cancelled and proceeding with the order with the extra style cap. Nice!

I did the same, but managed to cancel the first order.

Invoice says: "If for any reason you don't love your new device, you can return it, no questions asked within 14 days. Accessories can also be returned within 14 days, provided they are unopened."

The phone also comes with the black fabric style cap in the box.

Nexus 6p is better, especially the camera but now its been replaced by the Google Pixel which is pricey

I must've installed about eight updates so far though, so be ready to spend a bit of time doing them.

If I hadn't bought my Lenovo P2 a few weeks ago I would most probably have plumped for this handset. The P2 is a replacement to my aging HTC One M7, which had been great but the battery was degraded and device was getting very laggy. Heat added for the deal found.

Take it that would be at the buyers own cost? These ship from china do they not, not sure how much that would cost to return :-)

Perhaps. Slightly more high-stakes game might be to refuse to accept delivery of the one you don't want.

If this had the 5000mAh battery the P2 had it I'd be perfect

My God don't order off these clowns i made a order and the phone came with-out the extras and their solution send the lot back and re order instead of sending the missing items out

Yes, you get what you pay for and what you pay for with Apple is a trendy label. Sucker...

The speaker mod has 1000mAh battery built in. Reviews suggest this can't be used as a battery pack, but I noticed a recent comment here saying otherwise http://www.trustedreviews.com/jbl-soundboost-moto-mod-review

The battery life hasn't proved an issue for me, as a fairly heavy user - it's undoubtedly smaller that most, but QC really does work well. It'll get me through the work day and if I sit playing graphically intensive games for an hour or so of time when I get home, 10 minutes on charge and I'm sorted for the rest of the evening. Big fan of QC now.

Oh, and it's nice when died in the wool Apple fans are genuinely impressed by how light and thin it is - that's the benefit of that particular trade off. Completely offset by this in my case however - which is just as well, given the number of times I've dropped it:

Me too I have had a G4 that suffered from the well known "ghost touch" problem and a G5 that factory resets every time it runs out of power

Never again

Thanks OP. Decent phone specs for good price, it has noted criticisms regarding headphone jack and battery size, but this can be overcome. Was gutted not to get John Lewis £299 before, but this offer gets it for £289 with the JBL speaker and a style shell. Only black now left in stock.

My main concern when I had this was the camera, the lens is unbelievably easy to scratch and is massive.
