Phones4u have a range of phones that have just appeared on clearance on o2. They have a number on £4.99 per month for 12 months on 12 month contracts (see http://www.phones4u.co.uk/special-offers/Various2.asp) including Samsung E900, LG Chocolate KG800 (White, black, red/wine) - these work out at just short of £60 for the year (-£32 Quidco = £28 for the year) for o2 400 (400 mins x-net/100 texts). Claim by cashback (1 claim in month 6).

The best offer appears to be for the Motorola RAZR V3 Black Clearance. It is available on o2 400 tariff (£35 per month, 400 mins x-network, 100 texts), 12 month contract at 99p per month (Discounted line rental redeemed via £408.12 cashback in month 6).

Cashback claiming details on their website at http://www.phones4u.co.uk/help/faq-cash-back-and-redemptions.asp

Send voucher, bills m1 and m6 in month 6 - only 1 claim.

better go for 12 months free on 12 month contract with v3 clearence....
and £36.5 for quidco as well..
#4
£12 difference on a V3 between clearance and new, personally worth the extra £12 imo.
#5
You mention 12 months free on a 12 month contract - and the other post above mentions a new V3 as opposed to the offer of a V3 clearance - where are you looking for those deals please, as I cannot find them on the Phones4u site.

Many thanks

Very good deal and phones4u are quite reliable with cash backs  . Also as per cash back terms and conditions we need to send cash back claim once in the sixth month, so we can switch back to lowest tariff from 6th month onwards. And there is £ 32 from quidco :whistling:

O2 Terms and Conditions
If you are a [Consumer] Customer, you may not move to a tariff which offers a lower rate monthly subscription within 9 months of connecting to the Network or upgrading. After 9 months, you may only move down one tariff.

Any change of tariff negates any unclaimed cashbacks anyways

What If Phones4U Go bust/bankrupt or get taken over by another company, do we still gt cash back? :D

"bust/bankrupt", no...has happened to me with other phone cashbacks. "taken over", depends on the generosity of the new owner, e2save got taken over by CPW and they carried on as normal.

Caudwell sold up for £1.5billion last summer, so I believe that they are probably a safe bet.

There is only one claim for cashback (in m6 when all the cashback is paid) - therefore you may be able to change in m9 without penalty (as they cannot withhold cashback) but check the t&cs.

Mobile companies get sold all the time

Doesn;t make cashback any more risky.

Stick to a large, well known reputable companys with a good history it's not a problem

The Link was sold, my 3 cashbacks still went though.

Phones4u is massive, theres no reason to think it's risky.

This item worries me - from their T&C's

# Cashback offer is subject to status and connection to a new 12 month contract (or 18 month contract if applicable).

Does this mean you have to re-connect to them after your initial contract is up?

Anyone know if you have to cancel their insurwcne and their itemised billing in order to keep the costs down or do we have to accept theM?
thanks

NO, initial is 12 months, then free to leave (with notice period or Porting Authorisation Code (PAC))

Has anyone heard from phones4u.com other than the first email confirming processing?
Btw, is it ok to have more than 1 o2 contract- its just i'm already with o2 at the moment?
Has anyone had their quidco tracked yet?

I ordered one and my wife ordered one. No contact since first confirmation email. My quidco tracked (within minutes), hers hasn't shown up.

Has anyone that ordered any of the clearance pay monthly deals from phones4u heard anything since the order confirmation email?
#23
I haven't and I ordered mine on Saturday morning.
#24
apparently theyre can cancelling orders.....

telling everyone that they have entered wrong date of birth

My phone arrived last night.

I ordered the black LG Chocolate, which was advertised last week at £4.99 per month.

Am very pleased with the style of the phone. However, I was sent a refurbished phone and it was a new phone that was advertised. As there are no marks on it (the protective plastic is all still in place) I will keep it, but otherwise I would have been ringing up to complain.
