Simply a matter of personal preference and what you'll be using it for.
I have a 10" (Touchpad) which is great for work. I take it into meetings and can type notes quickly. It's great for showing ppt's and videos when I'm exhibiting at a show and it's good if I've had to travel to a meeting and need to share something.
My 7" (Nexus 7) is much better for travel and sofa browsing. I use it to read books, check the internet etc...
An 8" for me wouldn't be worth it. Too small to use it for work and too big to want to use at home.

The conclusion there is that it is a draw, but the Zoom 2 is twice the price in that evaluation too...
My preference would be to go for whichever device will get the system updates in a timely manner - so for me I would pony up for the Nexus, but if you just want a nice tablet at a bargain price - then this looks like a corking deal.
