is it unlocked?
#2
Some are and some aren't from what I've heard.

nice phone. but i hate motorolas.
#4
Used for one day and then sell it immediately. Nice shape, but poor function. Particularly, the dialing number is far too small to read! Camera could be another disaster when you take pics... Sorry, but it is truth... :-(
#5
Voted HOT for price although I would never touch a Motorola.
#6
not a bad price!!
#7
love the way Motorola phones look just not keen on the way they work
#8
Good price and to avoid the questions about it being unlocked it is locked to the o2 network.
#9
It's a nice looking phone, but build quality is poor.

Motorola. They still make phones????? LOL.....they should stick to walkie talkies and other radio controlled equipments.

They are cowboys - Placed an order with a voucher all confirmed and accepted - 17 days later a receive a letter telling me my card didnt work AND ignored the voucher discount - KEEP AWAY FROM THEM.
My card worked all over the net and is still working all fine - time wasters

I had this phone it was poo! Maybe its just me but its far too complicated
for its own good! I somehow managed to duplicate all of my contacts and
I couldn't get rid of them, the camera took about 45 mins to take a photo,
the bendy function was cool at first but then it became annoying! Ended
up selling it and got a practicle phone instead! I'd avoid it!

i agree with u. fantastic price for this top notch phone!
#21
Will this offer be in other stores?
#22
Alternatives to a Symbian smartphone with HSDPA, 30fps video capture, and the ability to add 16GB storage for £73...? I'm stuck.

Never played with the phone though, it could well be an absolute dog.

#25
Not all Motorola's are poo - I still love my original Pebl.
#26
Anyone remember the Motorola Timeport? The worlds first triband phone, with an odd reflective green screen. I just had to have one! :-)

Voted hot btw - not much else specification wise for the price.

Sounds good for 70 Odd...

It was mentioned earlier that this is a symbian smartphone, yes it is, however it uses Symbian OS 9.2 UIQ 3.2 and not Symbian S60 consequently it's harder to get apps installed on this phone than an S60 device. There's a lot of negative user reviews on sites such as yourmobilephonereviews.co.uk and mobile-phones-uk.org.uk. Still I might have considered this phone had I not just bought an SE W760i for £95 from Argos.

Unreliable, terrible camera, even worse software. The only saving grace is the Boune Trillogy of films comes on a 1GB card in the box and the symbian software running underneath, but it's still flaky and unreliable. Personally? Would never want to own one, and I've been working for The Link/O2 for 6 1/2 years, so yes I do know my phones and I would never recommend this one to anyone.

There's a reason it's gotten so cheap, we sold almost none when they were on contract, and even fewer when they were introuduced on contract.

Love the looks of this phone so cant be too bad to £70 odd quid!

You'd think wouldn't you? Personally, I'd give it a miss if you can.

Oh, and to everyone else, to make this totally clear: O2 PAY AS YOU GO phones from O2 themselves are always locked, where as vast majority of our contract phones are unlocked.

Don't matter how bad motorola phones are, I still love my StarTac..
#35
Excellent deal!

I went out and got one of these at lunch time - heat & rep added!

I have a soft spot for motorola's and have had quite a few through the ages, ranging right from the old motorola "wings" models (v3368, v50) through to the v66 and v60. Those phones were rock solid and the v60 survived so much abuse it was amazing!

More recently I have had a krzr k1 and I loved it! The only reason I got rid of it after 2 and a half years was the screen breaking.

This is a top notch deal for a great phone.

No it doesn't have all the bells and whistles like GPS, wifi and an 8mp camera, but for £70 odd quid it is an excellent deal
#36
I give it a week before you see how 'un-Motorola' it is.

I totally agree.
I will still have my Nokia E90 that has it all and is very flexible and reliable but The Z10 has a charm that only Motorola can delivery.

Little things that are great when going out.

:thumbsup:First...with this SW you can block, with a password, different parts of the menu so if you go out with you girlfriend or nosey friends that like to go trough you messages or photos this is very handy. They can go trough the menu but the "invasion" is restricted.

:thumbsup:Second thing that is very handy is the T9 that remembers new word and phrases that you have used so it is intelligent and learns slang without having to save each new word, it does it all my itself.

:thumbsup:Third and not least is it's Crystal Talk that clears out noises from the surrounding ambient, this is very handy in traffic and in the city.

I would have more great things to say about this "BANANA PHONE" but I will keep to the main points.

Bottom line: I am getting mine tomorrow for sure.:whistling:

Umm, those are all software characteristics of the MOTOMAGIX software that runs on all the others (U9, V8 etc), but I'm not so certain this will do the same. It's running a modded version of UIQ, there's very little 'Moto' about this really.
#39
I picked up this phone today for my brother, I have to say I am very impressed, I have loads of phones, (I change them all the time). I have never been a fan of motorolas, but I think this one is great, I have been messing about with it for the last few hours. Good camera with a powerfull led flash, software doesnt seem buggy, its fast and easy, much easier than the nokia n95, and build quality is brilliant, well worth the money. Sad I have to give it to my bro tomorrow, but Im happy with my G400 Soul for the moment. Thanks OP.

Yeah, that's true, but we aren't comparing it with other Motorolas.
I was just listing some of the features that makes it a great phone.

But ok since u want specific features here we go:

1. Scratch resistant screen - very handy
2. Rugged metal design with the banana effect to keep close to you face while you are talking
3. Supports up to 32 GB MicroSD card which is excellent for a music player phone. If you have a bluetooth equipped car stereo you can have a lot of fun with this phone.
4. Very high and clear speaker.

Ok downside...

1. The SW seems to crash alot.
2. A popular Motorola problem - the battery has a mind of it's own. It charges when it wants to, how much it wants and dies when it wants to.

Bottom line: It's a good phone, has it's problems and it like the lotto, if you lucky you get one that works fine.

Fingers crossed. I am still getting mine tommorow.

P.S. I confess I am really into phones. I own a Sony Ericsson K800i, M600, C702, W580i, Nokia N95, Nokia E90, Nokia N81 8GB, Motorola V8 and a HTC Touch. :whistling:
