No i did mean the £17.99 price bracket...which seems to be the magic threshold for people to take the plunge on new games on HUKD.

Tried the demo a few weeks back

An unbelievably bad game, the handling was driving unresponsive and slow, the track you raced about on the demo was no more apocalyptic and frenetic than split/second for instant, the graphics were no great shakes either.

I was massively dissapointed as I loved the first two iterations on the ps3.

So hot as its under £30 for a Sony title on release but not for me.

*I have no idea what sort of reviews its been getting, it might just be me.

I didn't like it either. I did think that the second game was getting there what with so much padding and doing the same few tracks over and over.

I own the first 2 and love them but this just doesnt feel the same at all and thats a bad thing , it seems to dumbed down and arcadey like Burnout , Split Second and NFS type of games (not that the first 2 where accurate sims ! but they handled very well )

have had the game for over a week now and i cant get enuff. online is superb and the betting has me hooked... agreed on the demo, it wasnt great - they managed to pick one of the dullest tracks...

I thought the first 2 were awful, won't be bothering with this one, heat left for price though.

You obviously do not keep up to date with politics and the news then.

Just checked up and the new magic price point may be £14.99, as this is the new (jersey) vat threshold (down from £18 to £15).

Voted hot as its a good price ..very tempted too buy this but i think the moment i do it'll hit the minus £20 price lol

Aye £17.99 is the price I tend to buy games at.

There really is no point anymore of buying day 1 except for the ultimate games ala BF3/Elderscrolls 5 etc

Ignore the demo, i hated it the handling is completely different in the game!

It would be better if they kept the rock/metal/drumnbass soundtrack instead of this crap. They should have kept the festival style theme as well.

Thing is I also share this view the demo made me think this game is ****. If the proper game is better than this then the demo in this case failed on so many levels and could negatively affect sales.

I don't see how the game could/would handle any better than the demo?

I'll wait for this to drop as there's too many awesome games coming out this year but it's a good deal. The first 2 games were fun but IMO this will be better. Some reviews have said this is one of the best arcade racers of all time
