Hot :)

Pic of the game case with price sticker seems like a used copy to me?

Still hot regardless though, as this is one nerve-wrackingly insense and graphically eyepopping game. Love it

Brilliant game. Well worth £8

No that's not used, stickers are yellow.

I can see that mate. My point is, it's not in cellophane, ie, not new. Unless of course it's just the display case and they bring out a sealed copy when you make a purchase?

God knows. It's great game at this price - even used - but a fantastic price for sealed/new

My local Game & Gamestation stores tend to keep the Disc & Instruction Manual for new games behind the conter & put them in the box when they serve you. Explains the lack of cellophane and also explains why many people complain about getting pre-owned items at these stores when paying "new" prices.

Top game and the DLC is quite cheap, the speed weekend is particularly value for money.

...or they sell you the display copy case & place a sticker around the opening to make you think you are buying a pre-owned copy.

It may not be the (erm) case in this example, but I have seen the lower price stickers (£7.98 here) placed over the top of "pre-owned" stickers in the past. Always a good idea to check this before purchasing.

Yeah and it sucks. Get som display boxes, God dammit, and keep the cellophane wrapped new copies behind the counter and keep your filthy store clerk fingers of the merchandise is what I say.

There should be two categories of new:
New (as in with cellophane)
Newish, manhandled-style

Naturally these products should be offered at different prices.

Don't forget that according to in-store displays in GAME the only difference between pre-owned & new is the price!

How true... but not for the reasons they intended to convey with that message.

("GAME sells ex-display stock as 'new' - Will refund or replace any non-'mint' goods bought at Easter")

Its definitely new guys... when I took it to the counter she gave me a sealed copy and when home, the game disc is immaculate. Plus, it was in the new section of the shop.

As crooked as some of the practices the Game Group (GAME, Gamestation, GamePlay.co.uk) is accused of, I don't think they would re-seal used products with cellophane to make them looked factory sealed (like some eBay sellers do!).

Glad you got a deal you were happy with in any respect.

Happy gaming.

the trophies/time trials are so hard on this, but very rewarding.
theres not much customisation but the core racing is very fun.

it takes about the same time as joining a game of tdm on modern warfare 2....sometimes longer, sometimes shorter. thats only possible if theres plenty of people playing it.
i get my but kicked all the time by people who have mastered the tracks so i dont play online anymore.......and if you quit, your rank goes down......more online games should implement that kind of system to stop quitters quiting when they know their gonna lose.

"Split/Second: Velocity" has that very same approach. I jumped above five people in the lobby rankings a few days ago after one game; not because I performed better on the track, but because the five other players (out of eight in total including myself) all quit to avoid dropping one place in the rankings. They all dropped to the bottom of the table again instead!
