Good price for a reasonable spec bike...... but when they say *all round bike that will excel in all riding conditions* that is cr*p.
Full sussers are only any good for downhill mountain biking, they are extremely hard work to pedal as the rear suspension compresses.
I'll give it hot for the price & spec, but people who are going to buy this really should know the limitations of a full susser.

the link shows a 130 , bike,,which this is the price in my local too ( after being in there this morning ), but just to let you know about this bike which is £80 in my local http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_564303_langId_-1_categoryId_165499

it is a load of carp,,, just bought it for my son yesterday and within 1 hour was back at halfords , as the back wheel had buckled and jammed ,, after them changing wheel and tyre ( which was round wrong way ) after 1 hour in the shop mending test riding , mending test riding ,, found it to be the crapest bike ever ,,,, DO NOT BUY IT !!!!! after a lot of hassle and returning this morning they have given us a upgrade to a better bike for free (not a trax btw )

Personally..... Halfrauds are the last place i would go to to buy a mountain bike. Usually much better deals can be had using a small local bike dealer, and haggling a deal on something that is last years model, they will very often throw in extra's like bar ends, suspension seat posts and mudguards.
This is the way i've always bought my mountain bikes.

Don't think I would dare go off a kurb never mind do any downhilling on one, with bikes you get what you pay for.

It would do for a getting to work (if you live close) but I think its best getting a rigid or hardtail for a similar price rather than a full suspension.

Yes i agree with potatouk.... I only ever ride hardtails.
I doubt whether anyone would be stupid enough to use a bike like this for serious hardcore downhilling.

not the best bike , and not my choice to have but ideal for budget bike

Alloy frame is unusual at this price- even so it still weighs almost 17kg!
Not voting because it is a hot price but I wouldn't have one - if you see what I mean :whistling:

At the Portsmouth branch they also are selling bikes with parts missing from £20 upwards, stuff like mountain bikes with handlebars or a wheel missing, might be handy for someone.

Voted hot, ideal if your on a tight budget, just don't expect to much from these bikes if you cane them off road

the bike was never worth its pre sale price. the spec sounds ok on paper, but they are poor components.
Halfords do much better bikes further up the price range, they only sell this junk because its what people want...a cheap bike with disc brakes and suspension.

lol,i had to remove a buckle from a trax mountain edge today and its a hard task as the rims are so weak that any true tension on the spokes causes the rim to bend because its not double walled

the disc brakes are poor as well,i always have to remove buckles in them as well to stop them rubbing and on top of that they aren't very sharp when you apply them!

the outrages are even worse, the seat post bolt just snaps when you tighten it.

go for Apollo or Carrera if you have a small budget

halfords have some good offers on once in a while like free £50 voucher for bike accessories when you buy any carrera

and £20 free accessories voucher with any bike (childrens bikes start at £39.99 so £20 free accessories is brilliant)

you can buy any cycle accessories with the vouchers
