This is an amazing product just what I was looking for. Just transfer all your favorite music tracks to an SD card or USB pen drive, find a blank channel on your car radio and your set up. The unit stores the channel and track you were listening to when disconnected - so no messing about each time you stop. No batteries to worry about, even a remote control! All for £7.99.

These in-car FM modulators have been a huge hit with Bigpocket's customers. Play all your audio devices wirelessly through your car stereo system. Unlike the original machine, this second-generation version has position memory (so it resumes from the last track you heard) and a small remote control.

You can now enjoy your MP3 music collection without having to spend money to upgrade your car sound system. Play all your audio devices wirelessly through your existing radio.

This device uses FM radio to broadcast the MP3 files from any attached USB device (pen drive, MP3 player, USB hard drive etc.) to a preselected radio channel on your car FM radio. Simply plug into the cigarette lighter outlet, insert your USB drive, press play, and your MP3s start playing. The FM frequency is adjustable so you can select the clearest frequency between 87.7 and 88.9 MHz or 106.7 and 107.9 MHz - the small display on the device shows your selection.

This latest version now includes onboard position memory. Never again forget or have to search for the track you last played, this unit will automatically remember and start next time at the beginning of that track. Also includes a small remote control to allow ease of use whether sitting in the front or back of the vehicle.

You can also use the included audio lead to connect to the headphone socket of any other device (e.g. an iPod, portable DVD player etc.) to allow you to play it through the car radio in just the same way.

These devices, formerly illegal to use in the UK, are now permitted due to Ofcom's amendment to the Wireless Telegraphy Act on 8th December 2006.

Features:
- Compatible with MP3 players, CD players, DVD players and laptops
- 14 LED preset indicators for FM frequencies
- Standard USB port
- Play, pause, volume and track selection controls
- 3.5mm stereo input

Package Contents:
- MP3 FM modulator
- Remote control
- Audio cable

n.b My wife spent £60 on a belkin version - this is far better as I can put my memory stick in as well as my i-pod touch.

£4.25 delivery.

It probably has a 2.5mm input with an adapter to allow connection to a 3.5mm device - note the extended description says "You can also use the included audio lead to connect to the headphone socket of any other device (e.g. an iPod, portable DVD player etc.) to allow you to play it through the car radio in just the same way."

I got something that looks very similar from deal extreme for a similar cost (but free delivery); if you don't mind waiting a little longer for delivery from Hong Kong it might be worth having a look on DX as they have a variety of these devices and you might find something that suits you better (although I imagine this would do for most people).

if you live in London like me give it a miss , because there is so much FM interference with pirate radios I cant find any interference free space .. I have tried various gadgets and last year I purest a pure DAB radio that works via fm such a same it sits in my glove box ..

I tried even with my aerial off the car and still got sh*t reception .,., Maybe a brilliant product in outer city areas ..

But for the price its worth a punt , maybe my car radio is crap lol

Bought similar one from extreme deals and the distortion is really bad at anything other than background music levels. The only FM device of this type that has decent volume and low distortion is a really old design analogue soundfeeder one that was on here a few months back for 99p reduced from from £10 odd

I have a similar one. The remote is a joke and the biggest issue is there is no internal memory. Once you switch your ignition off it loses the track it was on and starts playing from the beginning next time you switch on. Although you can have 1000 of songs in a SD card or USB stick but you hardly get to listen to first few unless you jump tracks manually or unless you are on a 5-6 hour long journey non stop. ;-)

Had one of these a few years ago, paid about 5 quid from DX. Remote packed up after about 10 minutes, the sound quality was unacceptable (like 96kbps MP3 quality) and interference was a constant problem.
It came with a 2.5mm jack and 3.5mm adaptor.
I ended up buying one of those cassette adaptors from DX for 2 quid and it was much better (still pretty awful, though)

I have had one of these for a couple of years. It was about a fiver from Deal Extreme. They are OK if you're not bothered about hifi sound.
You can get them from the play.com site for under £12.00

Also loads on Amazon for under a tenner delivered. This one looks OK

Yes I do have one of these. Like my 1st comment says and its loads better than the belkin one my wife paid 60 quid for. Happy New Year
