I purchased one of these around a month ago at £40 and was very impressed. Like many people out there I very much dislike Itunes and was looking for something that is drag and drop. Without any messing around you can store any type of file you wish on here. Its very user friendly and with a 20 hour battery life its pretty amazing! The headphones are decent too. Enjoy

I bought one of these a while back and took it back the same day for a refund. Sound quality seemed poorer than from my phone, GUI was slow and cumbersome at best, and build quality wasn't great - part of the plastic "creaked" when I rested my thumb on it (which of course caused me to keep doing pressing on it), and one of the sides was loose.

I don't rate these, but maybe I just had a bad experience.

Like the OP, bought about a month ago for £40 and am very happy with it, nice sound via my senns and thought it was a bargain then, no fuss menus so quickly into my music, always preferred the file directory approach myself, might not be suitable for people with sausage fingers though as it is tiny.

Just note it has a default max audio cap and I think the EQ is off by default, so worth going into the settings to get the right sound for you.

heat added.

I think you were probably just unlucky mate. Mine is sturdy and non creaky though the sound quality should have been the same.

got the 4GB on. quite pleased with it. it has it's problems though. if you turn it off and then on again it takes ages to actually play a song because the played is updating. what it is updating it does not say just that it is updating.

Some of these models do and don't have a radio on. Always check the model number if your after the ones with radio on it.

How do you know if you have sausage fingers? There are so many different types of sausage nowadays. Do you know you have sausage fingers if the dog keeps licking them or you leave grease marks on everything you touch. Does Lee Bowyer have sausage fingers?:whistling:

thanks for posting this. I too hate itunes and generally all things apple!!!

Before I bought an Ipod I had a philips gogear mp3 player. It's about 6 years old and I still use it today although it has a very small capacity.

Philips players are generally very well made!
