I have one & it's ok not super bright like a security light, but does the job. Battery lasts a while,on average i would say i use 3 sets of Duracells a year.

it's not like a flood light, I've got one and it's more like a led flashlight that runs on 3 x D batteries but it is still excellent and would recommend it

I believe this would be ideal, though I do not own one (yet) so cannot say for sure. I am only going by reviews that I have read and the images that are on the link suggest that it will only light up a small area. Battery wise, I guess this will come down to how often it is activated.

Had the copy version of this. (from amazon)Very good until it let water in and died within a year. I'll have to buy this though and hope water protection is better. From what I remember the batteries outlasted the unit. thanks for deal

Also bought one at B&M last week. Was an Ever Ready boxed light £9.99. Is 300 lumens, which is well bright enough outside our back door.

These are waste of money. Just not bright enough at all. And mine from Amazon packed up after few months use. Really disappointed! Be warned!!

The B&M ones are rubbish, awful green tint light and seem to eat batteries quicker.

If these are easy enough to take a part, you could always disassemble them and seal any circuit boards or bare connections with some sort of conformal coating. Nail varnish/polish works well and would help keep moisture out and extend its life.

bought these last time they were this price but not impressed

I'll happily buy it for £10 if it includes postage?
